Just got an update to it and it took me to the download page. Link is below. Once you have it, the program will notify you of new versions and will automatically take you to the download site to get the latest one.

cd rippers
Hi.
I wouldn't use itunes, unless you have an apple device, its bloated and well overkill if all you want are simple cd wripping. Nch software has a cd ripper, its full of adds but if you use it its accessible and you can buy it. I used to use old nero6, it was cracked never was able to afford it myself. With the latest windows not working with it though at that point 7, and with versions upwards of 6 not being as accessible as I liked I switched to 2 modules. Goldwave for ripping and cdbxp for writing. The reason I didn't want to pay is I hardly write cds or dvds at all. Goldwave doesn't have gracenote like itunes has which is either an disadvantage or advantage depending on how you look at it. You can submit your data to gracenote and look at updating the database yourself. On the other hand, apple and everyone will know what you are putting in. If that matters to you well who knows. Goldwave like nero6 uses freecddb.org databases, they are not always acurate and I am unsure how they are maintained but they work well enough mostly. The databases are free and opensource so they are not always that fast accessing but unless you need to do this as a job I wouldn't bother. If it is a job and or you need to bother itunes will probably do it though just make sure you don't mangle your library its easy to get out of organised sync, it can be regenerated but its a bit of work to do.

I don't know what the case is now but in the old
days, when I very briefly used CDEX, you could choose between two
data-bases. I believe you had to sign up to the one you wanted to use but
its been a long time. It may be useful if others comment on if you still
have more than one data-base to choose from.

ITunes is free, and you can set it so whenever you insert a cd it will automatically rip or what apple calls import. You can also set it to retrieve song info from the internet.

Re: Accessible CD ripper
I use goldwave, in fact I use it for the batch converter and cd ripper mainly.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
Its still with the 40 bucks I payed for it though. No spyware and I can use it. One thing to note, the latest versions are 64 bit only. You can use an older version with your 32 bit system but if you are unlikely to update any time soon, or you have a reason to stay 32 bit then I would probably use something more updated. If like me your system has a chance of a 64 bit os in its image, like my win7 laptop, my recomendation to you is to reformat immediately and use it, you payed for it with the unit so why not.

Did you double check your CD DB settings? it's not likely, but it possible that something got turned off. You could also try changing the server, and see if that makes a difference.

In any event, another accessible CD ripper is exact audio copy. I don't know what cddb lookup it uses, maybe it will help you, and maybe not. Anyhow, it's worth a try. another thing to remember is that the cddb information is largely entered by users. It's possible that no one has entered the information for the CD you are trying to rip. In that case, it would help other users if you had the time and you could fill in the information manually and submit it.

Re: Introducing three new add-ons and two updated add-ons: AudioChart, Bluetooth Audio, TextNav
#addonrelease
Thank you so much for the Bluetooth Audio addon, Tony Malykh, I installed it and haven't had any breakup of audio through my bluetooth speakers in the 10 minutes since I installed it, and it always was breaking up within a matter of seconds before!
Lenron, I just Googled for Bluetooth Audio NVDA addon and got the NVDA Community addons page as the first result, and the three new addons were top of that page. Giles

Re: how to set nvda auto read
Gene
I should say that what I said may apply to someone
who wants to move manually in a file and who wants speech as they move with the
cursor being where they move to so they can use speak to end from where they
have moved. But it isn't clear to me what you want.
Do you want there to be no speech as you move or do
you want speech as you move and speak to end to begin where you have moved
to?

Re: how to set nvda auto read

You are pausing speech with shift. that isn't
the stop speech command. Control is the stop speech command and it does
nothing else. Try using just control, then moving the cursor, then
resuming reading.

Re: how to set nvda auto read
Shradha Holani <shradhaholani@...>
After pressing Shift and moving the cursor in between, pressing NVDA key a, starts speaking speaking from the current cursor position instead of the new one. Actually I'm writing a script under global plugin where I need to skip a few lines(for example), so I call the nextLine function in a loop, but I do not want NVDA to speak meanwhile. Only when it reaches the desired line, it should speak. How should I achieve this function?
