Have you tried other variants, or try changing pitch/inflection?

Ask since, yes, if I switch to english-US, and max variant, does sound at times like a bit of a background huff sound, but, don't hear anything like that with the combination I use most of the time?

NVDA-2016.2 Slows Down with Firefox

Rob

System: Windows 7, NVDA 2016.2, Firefox, any version.
This has always been an ongoing problem, but it seems to be more prevalent now.
If you have a number of tabs open in Firefox, NVDA will begin to slow down appreciably in the program. Responses to key presses are delayed and using the browser becomes problematic and inefficient. The only solution is to restart firefox.
In previous versions of NVDA, this decrease in responsivness took a while to manifest--sometimes I could work for a whole day and NVDA would not slow down until the next.
However, now it barely takes six to ten hours for this slowness to occur. The only way to reproduce this step is to to work in Firefox for a while, with a number of tabs open.
I do not know if this same slowness occurs in Internet Explorer, Chrome or Edge.
I would like to know if others have experienced this decrease in performance, and what--if any--solutions are available to counteract this problem.

If you switched to a different synthesizer and the buzzing noise
persists, you might be seeing the effect of playing a sound for
spelling errors while typing function. Read the What's New for more
information, but press Control+NVDA+K to turn it off in the Keyboard
Settings dialog.
As it relates to eSpeak NG being overwritten by older eSpeak, this
cannot be done. The best option is to download the SpeechPlayer in
eSpeak add-on: http://files.nvaccess.org/nvda-addons/speechPlayerInEspeak-0.3.nvda-addon
and use to the variant of your liking.

Hello,

Yep the reason why I'm asking is because I don't need to deactivate vocalizer when it's time to upgrade, while for SAPI5 Eloquence by Code Factory I have to deactivate.

In Vocalizer for NVDA from Tiflotecnia, you don't need.

In Vocalizer and Eloquence, coth for NVDA or Windows, from CodeFactory, is

In Acapela for NVDA I still don't know how the licensing system works... So,
to be sure, untill Acapella says the contrary, I will advice to remove the

Re: Windows 10 Mail

Jacob Kruger

If you're interested in rolling back to a version of windows mail - the
version before windows live mail, that's effectively/basically the same
as outlook express, then you can find a sort of zipped package on the
following page:
http://opopanax.net/download/

You'll have to look for the heading called windows mail there, since
there are a few other packages there, including a possible talking,
external boot-up instance of windows 10, but anyway.

And, be warned that it's nothing like just a simple install, and go,
since you have to read the instructions, and make sure you follow the
right steps, and the sort of readme warns you that windows service packs
could possibly mess up the state of the package later on.

But, this is what am currently using uner windows 10 64 bit, and it works just fine with NVDA, etc.
