I have replaced the data from old espeak over and the syntth works a lot better one person had trouble however, espeak at least the word stuff works as I expect it so I am not to worried.

I rarely have more than 2 tabs open. The only time I do this is when I for example need to get files but I rarely use more than 1 at a time maybe thats showing my old dos days. While I could do it now, I don't see any reason to do it or at least as a perminant fixture.

Well, I'd just suggest, at least, trying a couple of other variants - like said, Gene is my current primary one is Gene, and he doesn't seem to have have same issue - even if I set rate to 100%, but, you could also try adjusting inflection, etc., just in case, if you specifically prefer max variant.

latest updates, have begun to become less and less accessible. I am not speaking from experience, however, because I do not face this issue. Opening many tabs is not recommended in the first place.

I am using max set to english not english-us. it's ony a problem when I 1 go to 100% instead of 99% or belo I don't miss one percent of speed so ok 2 when I need to crank up the speed to get threw a lot of reading like check the Rate boost box and set speed to 50 or 60 %

This has always been an ongoing problem, but it seems to be more prevalent now. If you have a number of tabs open in Firefox, NVDA will begin to slow down appreciably in the program. Responses to key presses are delayed and using the browser becomes problematic and inefficient. The only solution is to restart firefox. In previous versions of NVDA, this decrease in responsivness took a while to manifest--sometimes I could work for a whole day and NVDA would not slow down until the next. However, now it barely takes six to ten hours for this slowness to occur. The only way to reproduce this step is to to work in Firefox for a while, with a number of tabs open. I do not know if this same slowness occurs in Internet Explorer, Chrome or Edge. I would like to know if others have experienced this decrease in performance, and what--if any--solutions are available to counteract this problem.

persists, you might be seeing the effect of playing a sound for spelling errors while typing function. Read the What's New for more information, but press Control+NVDA+K to turn it off in the Keyboard Settings dialog. As it relates to eSpeak NG being overwritten by older eSpeak, this cannot be done. The best option is to download the SpeechPlayer in eSpeak add-on: http://files.nvaccess.org/nvda-addons/speechPlayerInEspeak-0.3.nvda-addon and use to the variant of your liking.

NOT COOL AT ALL along with the funny noises the voice flutters This is default espeakng max voice set to en... windows 7 x64 pro clean install nvda installed using default settings except for speed set to 100 percent Can I replace the espeak n g with the older one by copying the old one over the new one in the program files x86 \ nvda folder? In Vocalizer for NVDA from Tiflotecnia, you don't need. In Vocalizer and Eloquence, coth for NVDA or Windows, from CodeFactory, is better, since it is easy to loose the license with Windows updates... In Acapela for NVDA I still don't know how the licensing system works... So, to be sure, untill Acapella says the contrary, I will advice to remove the license...
