The real pitty with the ccleaner program bar the interfaces and settings issues is that if there was a way to run the engine without it being bogged down by the size of its ini file or in fact now many entries it has even if it has to use a bit more power for it on newer systems, or can be customised to whatever, it could leave disk cleaner in fact any cleaning solution for dead.

I don't know how the interface may have changed in
recent versions but there used to be a setting for not showing layout
tables. Before changing a general setting such as table information, check
that NVDA is set not to show layout tables.

Totally agree with Richard Wells. For now, vocalizer from Tiflotecnia works well with NVDA and their customer service is excellent. The team always assists me whenever I faced any problems, like the last case I posted in the list, I contacted the team off list, and they help me until the problem is solved.

I have to say that I just purchased both old and new Vocalizer
Nuance products from Tiflotecnia and they work well with NVDA.
Customer service was excellent and all my questions were answered
promptly. These kinds of one-sided discussions make me wonder why

Dear Friends,
May I ask for your input on this, once again. I am running Windows 10 and have two audio options: a Realtek sound card and a Logitech wireless headset (not Bluetooth). Under the NVDA speech settings, when I choose one of these, the output is through the other one. I want the Logitech wireless headset, but have to choose Realtek to get it. However, the NVDA sounds do not have the same good voice quality as when I used to set it to come through the Logitech option. Especially, the initial sound in each word is often cut off. Selecting the Realtek option, NVDA sounds come through the Logitech headset, but system sounds come through the computer speakers. When I raised these issues three weeks ago, several of you suggested this would be a driver problem. I checked the settings and drivers, together with my sighted wife and we found no irregularity. I had another person, who is more computer savvy, look at this and he, too, said that there was no evidence of errors with either the Realtek driver or the Logitech driver. Is it possible to have a driver problem, even though there is no error alert? Any other suggestions? Warmly, Ralph

To be honest though if you don't actually care, versions of ccleaner 3.00-3.31 are probably safe versions. 3.1 versions are fine, 3.2 versions are ok and 3.3 versions excluding 3.33, 3.34 and3.35 as one ofthose was hacked. Sadly, 3.4 is where the avast stuff comes into it, in fact any version of ccleaner before avast got piriform is fine. After that, if you can get the last version from 2017, then thats fine. I like disk cleanup but to be honest, I don't need to use it all the time, disk cleanup's advantage is it clears a lot of things, its major drawback is its really slow especially on hard drives and slower processers with little memmory to speak of. CCleaner cleans the most commen junk things, mainly temp and temp internet files. Its disadvantage or rather main disadvantage is that if the ini file gets big enough it will slow down a load but it could actually potentially clean more than disk cleanup as you could clean vertually anything. Right now, the following extra disadvantages exist. 1. quickclean, it appears that to turn this on and off is basically impossible from settings and if you do it manually in the ini, every time it runs and checks for updates it will toggle things back on. 2. avast is in the installer, and other unwanted stuff, as well as this, due to it running monitering and other things at startup the installer is not trustable pluss the main interface is not accessable checkbox wize. However, in most cases I don't often run disk cleanup for every day use, I have not tried to use windows storage sence and maybe thats fine but I like to have some control but whatever you want.

Hi! When you make a portable copy to save on the drive, it asks you if you want to save all of your information, settings and all. Everything will be saved in the portable copy you create on a back up system. That is the best way to put it on another computer. Just make a portable copy, and install it on other computers.
