Well I certainly haven't gotten a hacked version of it. It's probably the sappy version which I assumed I could still get with the latest version of NVDA by that I mean a clean install.

Agree, Gene; however, (and I won't waste any more space on this) I know I can't commit slander or libel or promote crime. But if I were on an automotive list of some kind, I could ask a technical question relating to a vehicle in my garage that I didn't pay for.
That's all; I'm through.

If a list allows such discussions, it is opened to
legal liability. It is illegal to use such programs. Promoting their
use is illegal and lists that allow it may be shut down by the owner of whatever
list serve the list is on and, though very unlikely, the list could have legal
action taken against it by the owner of whatever intellectual property is being
used illegally.
And you can't discuss anything or say anything you
want anywhere. You can't commit slander or libel. You can't use
speech to provoke violence.

Re: mariana islands
Brice,
You do not have to make any registry changes. If you just download additional languages the OneCore voices come right along with them (provided that they are languages that support text-to-speech, some don't). Of course, it's pretty clear that adding the language packs results in registry changes, but those are part and parcel of Windows installing those languages itself. It is not manual. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1809, Build 17763 A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep. ~ Saul Bellow, To Jerusalem and Back

Muklesur Rahman

Re: an accessible way to stream games.
That's actually quite easy, well kind of but you need to fight with the twitch website to get your key. I save all o mine in a file for future reference as those never ever change and I hide said file by the way. By the way I contacted the twitch team in regad to accessibility and others have as well, but they don't know what I'm talking about or don't care which is sad. Take care

Brian, earlier I googled extra one core voices and one of the links said you'd have to make a registry entry and that changed my mind of exploring it any further. Thanks for the info, I'll just stick with what I have presently.

Re: mariana islands
Brice,
The way you get OneCore voices is by downloading Language Packs. Settings, Time & Language, Add A Language button. Be certain that the one you're choosing includes text-to-speech as one of its features. I added English for UK, Australia, and Canada. This will also result in a new control showing up in the system tray that allows you to switch keyboards related to the languages you've downloaded. Now, as an aside, using the dictionary to control this is a cinch for just MP3 or mp3. The regular expression would be [m,M][p,P]3 Though you would, in all probability, need to follow the 3 with the character for whitespace. If you wanted it for MP2 or MP3 then the last bit would be [2,3] or [2-3] as both the enumerated list and range are equivalent in this case. That's the power of the regular expression, and if you wanted it for both then you'd capture that last character so that you could use it in the substitution regular expression. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1809, Build 17763 A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep. ~ Saul Bellow, To Jerusalem and Back

Brian, How did you get the extra one core voices? I don't remember off hand, but I think I only have maybe 4 choices.

Re: Highbernating windows 10

Fast startup should not be checked, because each time you shut
down your computer, it will only hibernate rather than really shut
down. When you boot your computer again, it will bring back the
last state instead of doing a fresh start. This doesn't apply to
restart, only to shut down.
