Re: Sending Synthesizer Audio To another Source

You can set the output of the synth in the nvda settings to the speakers you want.

Un sure if this bug is fixed, but if you then pull the speakers nvda is not working till you plug those speakers back and change it back to your internal card, you can fix this by always changing it back before exiting.

While we are on the subject of little bugs, I have noticed that when changing options for the start menu nvda doesn't update itself with content, that is hit start after changing any option and you get a search box, you have to restart nvda before it detects any changes.

Hi all,

NV Access would like to work with the community to identify the most
important bugs and feature requests for NVDA. With over 2000 open issues
on Github, it can be difficult for us to understand which issues are the
most hard hitting for the greatest amount of people.

By filling in this short survey, you can help us better prioritize our
future work.

Survey link:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScXTe1_l52wVsDdvJNpAQ7qiU7A141BaugI8XuVxKz0A1TFNQ/viewform?usp=sf_link

As always, we make no promise that creating an issue or filling in this
survey will mean that your particular issues are addressed in a timely
manner, however we will look very carefully at this data, and prioritize
our work to ensure we provide positive impact to the greatest number of
users.

Your answers will be annonymous. No identifying information will be asked

for in this survey. However, by filling in this survey you are agreeing
that NV Access may make this data public for all to see.

Thank you for your help in improving NVDA.

Mick

Hello NVDA users. For a little while now, I have been seeing this when I run, particularly, Firefox with NVDA, although I can't really be sure it's Firefox that is causing the problem. But Firefox does appear to be very sluggish with NVDA. Here is the message:

The window title says: NVDA helper remote injection terminate and the dialog says: error, waiting for local thread to die, already dead or not responding

I notice this sometimes when I press CTRL+ALT+n to restart NVDA after it has stopped speaking for some unknown reason.

I just got the NVDA update today, and it did not fix the problem. I think I first noticed this error last week. I have never encountered such an error before.

Hi Dave,

DId you see the replies to your other question on this?  Press NVDA+control+s to open NVDA's synthesizer dialog, then press TAB once to move to the "Output device" and set that to the output device you would like to use.

Quentin.

Re: NVDA and Jarte

Quentin Christensen

Hi David,

Press NVDA+f to have NVDA report the current formatting information, including font name.  The current version of Jarte seems to have Calibri 11 as the default font, which is the same as Word currently.

Spell check is done using F7.

NVDA+f is a standard NVDA command, so you can use that most places to find the current font information.  F7 is an almost universal keystroke for spell check - most programs which implement a spell check feature, tend to use F7 (there are exceptions).

Regards

Quentin.

2.  How do you enable the audio spellcheck in Jarte, older version from 2016.

Thanks for help.
