Completely agree with you.
Actually you are by far the only person to notice it. Since the
program stopped working, many people have noticed it and nothing was
done about.

I think
everyone was hoping Twitter would reconsider their new draconian
policy of having a very basic API for third party apps. They want
each user using the third party apps to pay huge amounts for
access to the full API now. There have been protests, but when you
are Twitter I guess you can afford to tell them to push off by
pricing things out of their range.
I think its a monopoly doing what they should not do morally but
who is there to stop them?

Updating Computer and Jarte Continued
Hi NVDA Groupies,
Quentin, Brian, thanks for your replies to my post concerning reading the current font with Jarte, and overriding the former with the newer when downloaded.
Personally, I prefer Jarte over MS Word, which has always acted a bit clunky on my computer since installed in 2017. The Blind Commission provided it, when receiving services from them at that time. Thanks again.

Asking for some addon help please?

Chantelle Buys
Afternoon everyone and a happy new year to you all.
I have a question. Are there anyone who would have the time to create an addon for NVDA that would work with Plotagon?
It is a really nice program to play with and simple enough that even a blind person could use it.
You can create and bring your stories to life with it and even share it with your family and friends. With Plotagon Studio you can even create and sell your stories to whom ever you want. You only need to pay a fee to the creators of Plotagon to have the right to sell your creations.
Does anyone know of someone who would be able to help me with this request?

Re: Sending Synthesizer Audio To another Source
I just checked this by connecting another sound
card. NVDA sounds are heard through the sound card not being used for
speech. I suspect these are midi files and are played through whatever
device is being used for sound in general.

I suspect that is actually expected behavior though
I've have to test it. I would just turn them off to prevent accidental
playing. Or, there are speech options for some of these options such as
speak progress updates and speak browse mode and forms mode.

Hi Quentin.
If i choose another sound device from the synthesizer settings, it seams as
only speetch is send to this device.
Progress beaps and focus and brows mode sounds are still heard through the
primary sound card.
I don't know if this is a bug or not.
If this helps, I am using a blue yeti and I use it as an nvda sound card
when I am recording and I need to monitor the sound.
Using the latest nvda release on windows 10 1809.

Kind regards

Does this also move sounds made by nvda as
well? Also what about system sounds. Do these functions also apply
for windows sounds in 7 and 10 would you know. Brian

Re: Sending Synthesizer Audio To another Source
I suspect that is actually expected behavior though
I've have to test it. I would just turn them off to prevent accidental
playing. Or, there are speech options for some of these options such as
speak progress updates and speak browse mode and forms mode.

Re: No announcement from Instant Translate addons
Hi Robert,
there is one thing You should check: Which Language is set to be the source language? If the source language is set to "automatic" there is a good chance that the translation will not work. In such a case You will hear nothing if You try to translate. Set the source language to "English" and try again.

I guess this add-on is no longer working due to the changes on the Google Translator API, which if I'm not going wrong was the API used by it.
