HP computers are easy to fix when this happens. Just have someone sighted go into bios and disable multimedia keys.

In Android you double click the power button while TalkBack is running. It's
stays running as long as TalkBack is running.

Uh-o.
Were you able to get it unstuck?

Re: acapella and codefactory voices

Chris Shook <chris0309@...>

Your codes should be in the email you got.
WIth CodeFactory, you'll have to submit a ticket, on the CodeFactory and Eloquence for NVDA website.
Make sure to label the request as high priority. If you set it on low, it'll be months before you hear anything back from them.

locked Re: NVDA and tablets

Let's see if I can help you out.
P.S.: What follows is a bit long, sorry about it, just wanted to make things as clearer as I could.

First, go to the NVDA Menu.
Being there, search for input gesture, by arrowing up and down.

Now, there's 2 ways of doing the thing work.
I'll talk about the easier first then I'll show the harder, so you can play with it as you wish.
Being on the input gestures window, tab until the field "filter by". Here you will type "screen curtain" (without quotes).
After you've typed it, don't press enter, press tab.
You should hear "tools".
Arrow down once and you'll have almost finished.
Press tab until the "add" button, then press space.
Right after you press space on it, you should enter with the keystroke you want to be the one to turn the screen curtain on/off.
When you've done it, choose in which layout you want to use this command (desktop, laptop or both) then press enter on the option you chose.
Done, you've created the keystroke to use the add-on!

Now, talking about the second way.
The input gesture window itself is a bit cluttered but let's try not to complicate things here.
Right after being in the input gestures window, press tab.
Arrow down til "tools" and press enter.
Right arrow to expand it, then arrow down until "toggles screen curtain on or off".
After you find it, you can just follow up from the "add" button described on the first way explanation.

Sincerely, hope this helps :)

Cheers,
Marcio

I also can be a bit loose in terms of moderation as well, except for the three hard and fast rules I posted. But normally people forget I'm mod until I step i. This from a 500 member list that has come with me for 15 years or somethingn like that.

Seriously, I generally run a pretty loose ship, and believe that many things sort themselves out, that everyone is an adult, and until they prove me otherwise, I assume that the more hands-off I am, the better unless something comes up that requires me to step in. My job, as I see it, is to serve you and the community. I will be looking for a moderator with the same mindset, and joking will certainly not be disallowed.

As for off-topic messages, I have always said that off-topic messages, in a small quantity, are helpful to lists and list members, but if threads go on for days, or if a member continually posts off-topic messages, that at some point has to end for the sanity of the thousand members we have on this list.

Thanks as always for each of your contributions to jokes!
