Yes, they do. A subscription is no different to owning Office 2016.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had subscribed to Microsoft's office 365. If so, I
do the applications work with NVDA?
Thanks

Re: NVDA, JAWS, compared to Narrator

Steve Nutt

Hi Brian,

They are less in terms of quality.  Alex for example, is better quality in terms of not compressed than any MS voice.

MS voices are also more robotic.

Alex has a different problem, that of “mumbling”, so some words become less distinct.

All the best

Steve

And this is problematic why, exactly?   I am endlessly amazed at the attitude that Microsoft is constantly supposed to be reaching back into the operating systems they have not been supporting for ages to give them features of the operating systems that didn't even exist at the time.

Anything before Windows 7 is, and should be from development and support perspectives, dead.  Windows 7 will be too, in just a bit over 10 months.

I also don't think that many of the OneCore voices are "lesser" than Apple's voices, either.

I don't know mch about it besides it's supposedly not as good as job and that it is commercial so you have to buy it.

That being said, other than the occasional side loops which are characteristic of any group, this is not a chat group.  Individuals treating it as if it's a private text messaging venue is not acceptable even if other members can mute topics, because the behavior is untenable to begin with.

Hi friends.

I already sent my thoughts to info@.... But I decided to post it here just in case some one can examine it too.

I have a worksheet where the navigation is slow with nvda.

When I examined it with jaws, it identified the column headers as dropdown lists whereas nvda only read the text.

Nevertheless, if I go to the column header cell with nvda and press alt + downarrow, it reads the options to filter and sort the lines.

When I open another worksheet, this time only with simple columns, the navigation with nvda goes with normal speed.

So my conclusion is thath the sluggishness is related with the resource that allows the dropdown lists. It sounds like in every arrowkey press, nvda is requesting excel to redo the filter or sort.

Jaws does it once because, when I change the focus to the worksheet, it says “please wait” and a second laer I can navigate with normal speed.

I know that I can’t put attachments to the list. So, if some one want the example worksheet to test, please e-mail me.

Hi.

Small message to all users of dolphin stuff, email support and tell them to hurry up with using modern brousers or something.

Yeah dolphin seem to be slowly crawling towards modern brousers.

If you are a dolphin user, ie is the best brouser to use,.

Its the only brouser to use.

This is utterly disgusting and is pritty much an insult to all users because everyone else has caught up.

I don't care to bash, but here I am a user mostly past but still a user bashing dolphin because they have been slow for like ages, and ie is basically on the way out.

You really wander if dolphin have a death wish everyone has jumpped ship allready.

Now, pass this to whoever gives a damn.

And another thing, don't discuss any of this on here, I don't want to generate a thread on this or anything this is just a notification to users to ask dolphin nicely to use something like chromium at least is all if its only 1 brouser they can take.

If they can handle chrome and chromeum, fire and waterfox, etc then maybe.

To be honest we shouldn't be asking our what is usually or has been for ages a reasonable reader company to move their collective but but its like been over 10 years and I think ie8 has been the last version we can use, maybe we can use 11 now but still its been like that for ages.

Re: Hey dear NVDA users Quary about NVDA with excel.

Have you installed the  latest office update.

For all office users xp-2010 check for updates as usual.

Everyone above and including 2013 and higher, in any office app, the sequence is alt f d r then the first option is check for updates.

then alt tab back, exit office app, wait to have that update loaded and when the window closes the system will be updated then restart and its fine.

For office 2016 and higher you will be politely be told when the updates are loaded.

Dear NVDA users I am useing NVDA with Windows 10 Dekstop computer I have problem when i add Entire row in excel thiserror i paste billow.
I am useing excel version  2010
To prevent possible loss of data, Excel cannot shift nonblank cells off of the worksheet.  Select another location in which to insert new cells, or delete data from the end of your worksheet.

If you do not have data in cells that can be shifted off of the worksheet, you can reset which cells Excel considers nonblank.  To do this, press CTRL+End to locate the last nonblank cell on the worksheet.  Delete this cell and all cells between it and the last row and column of your data then save.
I hope my problem solve as soon as possible.

I think the flaw in this sort of thing is that many threads that can turn into chat start as normal threads.
I tend to have an open mind, When a thread does drift that way, I can simply skip it. Text takes up so little room in any case. As has been said here before efficient use of the software allows one to be picky on what they see so to speak without making others have to change their habits too much or in having to have sub groups which merely complicate the situation for the normal user.

Your codes should be in the email you got.
WIth CodeFactory, you'll have to submit a ticket, on the CodeFactory and Eloquence for NVDA website.
Make sure to label the request as high priority. If you set it on low, it'll be months before you hear anything back from them.
