That's why when someone asks for someone to talk about NVDA, I certainly offer, but I also know there are many others who are excellent ambassadors as well, so the person can choose whether they want someone from NV Access, or a user who isn't necessarily directly affiliated with the organisation.

That is what I think he is talking about. He would prefer having someone to talk to in a type of interview so that blind persons in Jamaica can be informed about what is available. They get no support from their government at all.

Hmmph you could always try the coolblindtech guys not sure if they would exactly do a cast on nvda necessarily but its worth a shot.

The guy may even get a spotlight cast back, its been a long time since they actuall broadcast anything themselves though there are articles and stuff going up every week so they aren't down and out.

For our own materials we aren't to shabby.

We have audio tutorials, whatsnews and nvda con archive casts as well as promo videos and the like joseph lee has done.

Could it be possible for us to have enough material to set something up if not a cast for ourselves we have enough archived materials  to blow our own trumpet.

Now I do co admin a site that does casts on a few things, but I use nvda for myself and not for everything under the sun.

Saying this, if this guydoesn't mind interviews himself or even depending on things a cast on something, tech@... is the guy's address of the guy that makes the cast I co run.

Weather he wants to do whatever is his call though I am just a site admin with a few articles thrown in.

We are looking for things to cast though, as its mostly security breaches and some braille and app casts on various things.

I havn't really had anything audio related to contribute for a little though.

Hi all,
Does anyone here uses Facebook and is having problems when trying to mention someone on a comment?
I did notice it just now and tried everything that I could think of to see if I could fix it and nothing worked at all.
When commenting, NVDA won't read the suggestions when writing parts of a name, as it used to do before.
For what it matters, using Firefox.

I can even do my shopping on the site of a supermarket that brings shopping home free of charge for disabled people here in Milan and otehr parts of Northern Italy.


I couldn't do that with any other browser. With Chrome I had to switch to Desktop Version, but it was terribly slow. This one flies!

As far as I know, Ollie is a Android user, which by the way had tested Brave on Android even before testing on Windows.

I came across these 2 files as well. In fact i downloaded both. However, I ended up keeping only one of them, which explicitlye stated to be the 64bit installer.
Guess the other one would be the full installer though as I also had to wait the download even after opening the file I just downloaded.

Even if you were to block, it is only if this action also carries with it the marking of a blocked message as spam that the problematic feedback loops come into play.

You might want to consider whitelisting anything that comes from an address that ends in groups.io in your own e-mail filters.  It can save you having to keep releasing things.  Notifying your e-mail service provider that things originating from groups.io are not spam or suspicious would be helpful, too.

           You can consider this my first formal communication as group moderator, and I'm hoping that it will help not only the group as a whole but Groups.io as a whole, too.

           First, let me say, that I know that many of you who've experienced this have not done this marking yourself.   If, however, you did, and you did it intentionally:  Please STOP!!   There are all sorts of mechanisms in place these days behind the scenes that feed information about messages marked by users as spam up to their e-mail service providers, that then gets shared among e-mail service providers, to create spam filters.    This is absolutely marvelous when messages are marked correctly, but if non-spam gets marked, then non-spam starts to get identified as spam by the e-mail service providers, leading everyone to have things blocked that they'd rather be getting.

           If you are not intentionally marking anything as spam, but are getting a message from Groups.io saying that you have been unsubscribed for marking a message as spam, this means that your own e-mail service provider is doing that marking, which is not a good thing.  Thus, I'm asking you to please make the effort to contact your e-mail service provider and ask them to remove anything that comes from any groups.io address from their spam filters.   The only way anyone should be getting messages from groups.io is if they went to the effort to subscribe, and by definition subscription e-mail lists cannot be spam.  You may get messages you don't want, and if they're few and far between, then delete them, but don't mark them as spam.

            If you are on any Groups.io group where traffic is substantial, and you don't want to deal with individual messages, you can change your subscription to digest to cut down on your traffic or use a number of controls provided to really limit what you're going to see from Groups.io for a given group.  I will post the instructions on what exists, and how to use it, here again now:

            There has been a lot of recent conversation on a couple of the administrators groups about people being unsubscribed for having marked messages as spam, even when they personally have not done so.   I wanted you all to know why this is happening when you have not done any marking and what you can do to at least try to educate your e-mail service provider about Groups.io messages not being spam.

These are part of a directory service or such. Both Active Directory and LDAP use these types of fields, and in Outlook/Exchange you can find something similar in the list of alternative addresses for a e-mail.

the quick tests i have done so far it seems very accessible with nvda. Just been looking through the menus settings etc and trying out the quick navigation keys with nvda and am going to use it for the rest of the day and see how it goes. So far so good.


there must be 2 installers for the 64 bit i am guessing i downloaded a small file to download it then it had to be setup. I am wondering if the other was the full version? but that seemed accessible 2.

I submitted some pull requests with changes to the Visual Studio Code,
but they seem to be stuck... Will poke the people reviewing them...
They fix:
Stupid announcement what word / function / variable name was inserted
- it was done using an HTML alert
Too much information with code completion.

I also created a simple NVDA add-on - not public yet, which fixes the following:
Losing focus from the code editor textarea after accepting completion item,
Reading the entire line from the beginning after accepting code completion item.

That's why I can't support him.
What are we going to do?
Do we have an idea to speed up the transition to py3 by editing a tool
like Nuitka for our own projects?

I'm definitely not writing it up. I just want to know where we're going.
I'm sure there's someone who thinks I'm thinking. I would like to know
what problems and solutions are.
