I've downloaded the add-on, how to get it into my thunderbird?  thanks guys for the off-topic messages.

To my knowledge, one can have as many filters as one needs. You just need to pay attention on the filters' order, because they will run according with what you have done first.

Lastly does anyone know of any add-on to move all messages from one subject as in the threads to create one combined email.

You don't need an add-on to do it, not really. On the "order by" (or something like that) menu, you'll find an option to group the messages on a certain subject in only one thread.

Sorry, I believe I couldn't help as much as I'd like, but I hope you find at least one thing that I just wrote useful for answering your questions.

I can't even get eurofly to run, how the heck is anybody using this program, I've tried twice, and it just plain won't work.  I gave up on it months and months ago, no matter what I did, my windows 8.1 box just wouldn't run the silly thing.

hey all. Cisco talking. i wanted to ask you if someone was available to try and develop an add-on which will announce, when landing, the altitudes 1000, 500, 400, 300, 200, 100, 50, 40, 30, 20 and 10. i think that this may be done, hmm, detecting the altitude via the z key but with out affecting the user END.

i could provide the sounds, if you guys want.

if you want to try just private email me.

i am asking this because i don't know how to code in Pithon.

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

hi,

The buttons are only in the classical dialogue. You need it to show you the classical dialogue in the multiple sitations mode. In object nav, you will hear buttons, such as 24 of 14 button. Presing the first one on the left will add second citation, while other will remove it. You need to have focus on the second citation you want to add first though.

On 3/4/2019 3:51 PM, Sally Kiebdaj wrote:

Hello,

I haven't cited any books yet so don't have an answer. Would you like me to ask a librarian and see if their instructions help?

For your solution to the multiple references, I see no buttons. Are you in the classic citation view or no? What operating system are you using? I would love to figure this out with your help.

As a side note, I would really like if we could pool our expertise and write up a guide for Gene'S website. I feel strongly that academic Programs like this are just as important to explain and support as more basic ones.

Cheers,
Sally

There is a solution for multiple citations. There is a numbered button, click one after moving focus to the citation you want to add after the first, and it will add it. IOne of them will add, while the other removes.

I have another problem. Do you know how to change a book entry to book section, and then add authors and editors? When I change the editor field to an author, or vice versa, wrong author is changed.

On 3/1/2019 10:00 PM, Sally Kiebdaj wrote:
Hi all,

To revive this thread, I can give a partial answer to the original question and need to ask one of my own.

If you go to the zotero desktop application and under preferences find citation then word processor and check the "use classic citation  checkbox, you will get a dialogue in word that is 99% accessible.

The only thing that has not worked for me is citing multiple works in a single in text citation. In the classic citation dialogue there is an add button that NVDA does not see with any cursor and in the default dialogue I hear only a string of HTML code rather than "unknown."

i have posted to the zotero forum and will let you know what i hear back.

Does anyone else have experience here with zotero or any other free citation manager?

It was a huge help to have this on my last paper and I'd like to see it work or have access to something equivalent for academic writing.

Warmly,
Sally

Part of the "shortcut sheets" I create for my clients can include information on Thunderbird and using it with a screen reader.  Here's that section, which includes information about the add-on that makes first letter navigation in the folder tree possible:

Moving Messages Between Folders on Thunderbird

1.      Select the message or messages you wish to move.

2.      Bring up the context menu with the applications/menu key or Shift+F10, then hit M [Move]

3.      You will be presented with a submenu that will vary somewhat depending on your folder structure, you have to drill down through the submenu to locate the folder where you want the selected messages to be moved.

4.      Once you have focus on that folder, hit Enter and the message(s) will be moved there.

Re: Draft view in Microsoft word.

It is supposed to be settable by going to the main options, ALT+f and then somewhere in the advanced options is a setting that allows documents to open in draft view.

This is the Microsoft info about doing it:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/919599/how-to-change-the-default-view-to-draft-view-in-word

DOes it work? I followed it several months ago and all my docs stilll open in print view. It's annoying because I always need to set it to draft view but I haven't found a way that actually works!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :)

Subject: Re: [nvda] Off Topic Thunderbird reading messages view

My thing is that I cannot get Thunderbird to change folders where I wish messages to go in that combobox of my folders. I've made folders for message groups E.G. nvda, windows ten, blindtech, etc. but how to get them to change? I press enter and get an error message so what is the secret?

Also is there a way of having more than one filter applied to the
sorting order of emails in inbox.
To my knowledge, one can have as many filters as one needs. You just
need to pay attention on the filters' order, because they will run
according with what you have done first.

Lastly does anyone know of any add-on to move all messages from one
subject as in the threads to create one combined email.

You don't need an add-on to do it, not really. On the "order by" (or
something like that) menu, you'll find an option to group the messages
on a certain subject in only one thread.

Sorry, I believe I couldn't help as much as I'd like, but I hope you
find at least one thing that I just wrote useful for answering your
questions.

Cheers,
Marcio
