LAPTOP VS DESKTOP
Howard Traxler <howard@...>
If using laptop keyboard on a desktop computer, can one still issue screen reading commands using the numpad? It seems like I could do that in JAWS; but I can't decide if it works here in NVDA.

But what if the person wants to read screen output
for other reasons in real time? In addition, what I am discussing is basic
NVDA knowledge, how to review the screen. It may have uses for the person
outside of the DOS prompt. It is one of the early sections in the NVDA
manual.

Re: Converting epub to pdf
Hi all It is pretty obvious they misspelt epub, which stands for electronic publication. It all depends on copyright restrictions how you go about conversion. If the origanal poster could enlarge what type of epub they are talking about it would be helpful. If there is no protection on the epub file then use this link to get a conversion to pdf or audio and other formats for free. https://www.robobraille.org/

You can download more voices by downloading new language packs
from Settings>Time and Language>Language, this is no longer
necessary in Windows 10 version 1903 as you'll be able to download
the voices on their own without adding everything else that a
language pack contains, such as keyboards, handwriting data etc.

Hi I was not sure this was a server only cmd, I guess you could then just review what is on the clipboard without pasting it using one of the nvda add-ons. Would i be right in this assumption. Also would you know how to use a batch file just to play a short clip, such as the system uses to give audio feedback for things like critical stop etc, without console output and close out. Just a thought. All the best Adrian Pocock.

Re: trying to sync albums to iPod Shuffle from iTunes using NVDA

Wouldn’t it be just as easy to only add what you need at that time to iTunes. If you want to switch to something else you can export that set, delete that playlist and add another one.

That is essentially what I did. I added all the music in the "Music" folder to the iTunes library. However, I want to sync only particular albums, and it's not letting me do that. I checked the box that says "only sync checked songs," and then I tab to the different lists, each containing the names of artists, albums, playlists etc. I press down arrow to get to one I want, and press space to select it. When I tab to the list of albums, I press the arrow keys and nothing happens. This is my problem. I can sync other things, like artists, just fine. But I only want specific albums by those artists, not all their albums.

WP is practically ready! Bring some more patience, we are arranging the documentation and translations. Unfortunately, some translators are no longer reachable, and I count on the work that Noelia has proposed to do with the automatic translation system; will have a lot 'of work to do because WP is very well documented, this is one of the reasons that I have always avoided the automatic system, but we will see how Noelia will solve this thing, I rely a lot on her. In a few daysI will update Weather Plus and it will be better than before :)) then Noelia, when she wants, can insert WP in the translation system. Thanks!! Cheers Adriano
