Hello Robert

I followed these links and am trying to figure out whether Sable is available yet, or whether you are supposed to start the course with Reaper?

Hi Everyone,

Our Ebon Sky Studios sound designer  (Brian, from Daisy Ale Sound works) is doing an  online video series about sound design . Brian, is sighted, but will be doing the course using a screen reader, so that everyone can follow what he is doing on screen and which will ensure everything he is doing is accessible to a screen reader user. for anyone interested in learning more  about sound design you can follow the topic on the audio games forum, where he’ll be posting videos  , setting assignments and commenting on questions asked. True, I guess it’s just a question of having confidence or not having confidence in the product. If you never know when it’s going to do this on you, it’s a bit worrying, especially when you boot up to give a class or something.

Re: SAPI5 crashing NVDA

You should be able to uninstall whatever voice is causing the problem just as you uninstall any program.  Let's say that you are using a SAPI 5 version of Eloquence.  If that is the voice causing the problem, uninstall it as you would any program.  SAPI voices are just programs.

I don't know if Windows still comes with any SAPI 5 voices but you don't have to worry about those.  They aren't causing the problem.  Something that wants you to register it is causing the problem and it can be uninstalled in the usual way.

Re: Suggestion for a Possible Option Regarding NVDA Profiles

Brian,
I'm afraid that turning the synth ring on a "second rotor" won't be the best solution in this case.
When I mentioned profiles, it's because with this option, we can create a sort of preset for what window we want. All I suggested was developing this option, an already existing one, a bit more.
Why do ask to the developers to reinvent the wheel if they could save their time just improving something that's already there and does what it should do?

How would this be useful though?
I mean you can do it on say all of course, it might be more interesting to have your preferred settings on a rotor like the synth ring so you can sequence through them according to the one you want for that application.

Subject: [nvda] Suggestion for a Possible Option Regarding NVDA Profiles

Hi, guys,
Playing with my favorite part of NVDA now, which is described on the
subject line, I just thought about something that I guess it could be
quite useful.
I don't know whether it's possible at all, but it would be nice if we
could make a trigger for a profile from the window title, or, better
yet, from parts of it.
Example, suppose I want to make a profile for when I'm reading something
on Notepad, but I want this profile to be triggered just with this
specific document. Same goes, then, for a specific webpage.
Now, with this option, on the field "window title" or something like
that, I would type something like:
"My File - Notepad".
Or else
" file - Notepad".
In the first example, the trigger is "My File - Notepad". This means
that nothing apart from "My File - Notepad" would be assumed as the trigger.
However, there also could be an option to check or uncheck regarding
cap-sensitive triggers.
In the second example, everything ending with " File - Notepad" would be
assumed as the trigger. This means, for example, that even if I had a
file called "Test File", opening it on Notepad would trigger the profile
in question.

Don't know if I could explain it as I'd like, but if this thread gets
some interest, we can discuss it further and I can try to explain better :)

It did go by, but was a bit delayed. You obviously have he same selective delivery syndrome as I do!

Re: Suggestion for a Possible Option Regarding NVDA Profiles
