you could try the following add on it should do what you want it to do. it is called clip speak.
It will need to be installed.
I do not use it if i copy any thing i do not need to know or hear it say copy etc I just copy what i want then use the nvda key +letter C to read out what i have copied.
there are probably other add ons up there you might use as well. The following link will put you in the right place to get it at https://addons.nvda-project.org/index.en.html It can also be accessed thrugh the add on manager under a button called get add ons in that section.

Hello To All,
Can NVDA be set to announc “cut text to clipboard,” as Jaws does when you use control-X?
I ran into this when wanting to paste a link into an e-mail. In Jaws you hit Alt-D, A, and C to get this done. I did manage to copy to clipboard, but didn’t hear it spoken, so pulled up notepad to make sure I actually had copied the address.
It would seem easier if you could hear that your commands are carried out.

Hi, That’s my conclusion as well. That add-on is meant to be a proof of concept implementation of the following NVDA issue: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/2559
Luckily, the NVDA Core implementation of this add-on will be sensitive to configuration profiles – it is just awaiting code review at the moment. Joseph

I just checked. The name of the add-on is object location tones.
That also explains why when you turned off the object navigator moving as you moved in the application, that no beeps were heard. the object navigator didn't move and the add-on was therefore unaware that you were moving in the application.

Mozilla seems to have changed the options window, again
Hey folks,
So the subject speaks for itself. Some of you may remember me from the other thread about the add-ons' section, isn't it? Well, here we are again. Now, though, the situation is in fact at least a little bit better. Our dear mozilla, on what I believe to be the latest Firefox, changed in a way the options' window, where we have general, privacy and such. At first, I was about to post here asking for a workaround for this one, but I found it myself. The story is like that: being on said window, one can't, for their life, arrow through the options anymore. Well, at least it was what I was getting. Then, don't know why, but as a last resort I tried to play with the window using NVDA in focus mode. Guess what? It worked! In fact, I believe it worked because now in this very same window you have a search field where you can type in parts of what you want to get, for example "priva" for privacy. But, this field actually is also a submenu! No, you haven't read it wrong. It's a field and a submenu, as NVDA reports it. I'll have to say, that's the first time I've seen something like that. Quite odd, if you ask me. Well, all of this to say that, if you getting the same as I got, then justdo the NVDA focus mode thing or the equivalent on your screen reader, tab through the screen and then at some point you'll be able to arrow through the options like we are used to do.

Hello Curtis. I have the same issue here. When I load Chrome, NVDA goes to sleep but works again when I re-load it. It's a strange issue because NVDA doesn't hang. It just stops speaking. I am sure that with the current and rapid changes to Browsers, the issues will resolve soon.

Sorry for another old message, but, I do want to weigh in on something that was said here.
It is probably not a good idea to leave UAC (User Account Control) turned off.
If you download the wrong thing, or something infected that your virus-checker doesn’t know about, a program can run in “elevated” mode and make any change to your system.
According to Leo Laport, Ransomware is on the rise.
If you must turn UAC off, it is better to turn it off only to install a program you know is safe, then, after it installs, turn UAC back on.
Of course, it’s still a personal decision.

I'm not Joseph, but let me answer your question :) You can find the option to restart NVDA with all add-ons disabled on the exit dialog. I believe you know how to get there, though if you don't, it's NVDA+Q. Another way of doing it is through the command line but I don't know the exact command. I just checked. The name of the add-on is
object location tones.
The description says, "After installing this add-on and restarting NVDA (or when you enable this add-on), as you navigate to different controls, you'll hear tones to indicate where the object is located on screen." It is evidently seeing items in Outlook like different messages in the list as controls. I assume from the fact that you don't complain about this in other programs such as Windows Explorer, that this generally doesn't happen. That also explains why when you turned off the
object navigator moving as you moved in the application, that no beeps were
heard. the object navigator didn't move and the add-on was therefore
unaware that you were moving in the application.

Hi, Another possibility: how about restarting with all add-ons turned off? That way we can figure out if this is an add-on problem (I have a hunch that it is one of my add-ons not working right for you, and if so, I’ll do something about it). You are right, Quentin did ask me to send a log last night but I am only now getting around to it. As I was looking for the keystroke to launch the log, I accidentally struck NVDA+7 on the PC keyboard and the bleeping stopped! I toggled NVDA+7 again and the bleeping came back again!
NVDA keyboard help tells me that: “NVDA+7 “Toggles on and off the movement of the navigator object due to focus changes!”.
Is this the answer to the problem? Can I enable this action without having to have the bleeps?

Try NVDA key and the letter u, you will get the options to either beep or voice and beeps or none, try none. It might work. This is using a laptop the NVDA key is the cap lock key, not sure what it is on a desktop.

Which add-ons do you have installed? Have you tried restarting NVDA with add-ons disabled. The correct NVDA shortcut to bring up the log is NVDA+F1.

I have installed several Microsoft Onecore voices and attempted to set one of the UK voices as my default voice. But now, when I begin a say all or automatic page reading begins, such as in Chrome or QREAD when I alt-tab to it, the Microsoft David voice that appears to be the default system voice overrides my choice. As I do not love Microsoft David, this is an annoyance, especially since I can't figure out how to stop it from happening. I have gone into windows settings > language > speech and set Microsoft George as my default voice. I have also done so in the settings > ease of access > narrator panel. The strange thing is that this was working two or three days ago. Anyone have any ideas? I'm using the current Windows Insider build 1903 and the latest NVDA. Chris Bartlett Christopher Bartlett
