Re: Free captcha solving chrome extension
The question that was asked and has not yet been answered is
this: Is it okay to turn off developer mode after adding the
extension? I am not comfortable with leaving developer mode on as
it does open security holes. I will test it with NVDA when I get
this answer. Thanks to Oliver for all the research and hard work
on this project.

I did the same think on OE. It would hide the unread count and I would not see the messages until I either clicked show all or went into a sources list, it's ben almost 20 years now so can't remember. Look up mail mate for the mac. It is just beautiful. I never ever if I can help it read my mail in windows, or anywhere else for that matter. I believe aqua mail can do the same thing but I'm not sure. I'm still learning that interface as it changed. If anyone has any questions join the android list at the bottom of my sig. There you can discuss aqua ail to your hart's content.

That's a behavior that generally requires a single click to expand a conversation/thread, to remedy and where unread messages are either at the beginning or end of a conversation/thread, depending on the sort order you've chosen. What you describe as a "sources list" is entirely alien to me, but that's probably because I don't know what it is you're referring to. --

Subsequent responses to the thread seek to provide the same response, sometimes more than once, with the same solution/answer, or questions relating to the issue, even after the opening poster has stated in the thread that all is resolved. Is there a good explanation for this? Now, I am not a moderator, so can't enforce anything, but I find it very annoying to have to skip through multiple messages of the same origin. Why don't persons read the thread in its entirety before posting?

Re: Observation of Reply Behaviour of Some List Members
I get all my groups.io messages in a daily summary, which forces me to read the thread as a whole because messages are not displayed in the message window like in digest mode. There's a link to the topic, and, I click the link.
For some lists, I change my subscription to, first message only, which sends me the first messages in a thread but does not send me the replies unless I start a thread or reply to a thread. There's links at the bottom of every message to view threads anyway, so why bother getting each and every message.
I also just now learned how to change the, all mail, folder in gmail to threaded view in thunderbird, by looking at the thread, so, thanks, poster #4 or whoever it was.
To change the subscription via email, if anybody is curious, not sure why the first message only option isn't in the list of email commands, send an email to the below.

Re: Quick Navigation By Heading In MS Word Focus Mode
My apologies that I am a bit rusty on this, but if you have a chance to play with word a bit you should be able to figure things out from my below description. If not, I can be more specific later. If you use the search / goto panel in Microsoft Word, then the next page previous page functions will instead move you to the next / previous search item or go to type from that panel. My memory is that you have to use control-pageUp and control-pageDown in order for the screen reader / focus to move to these places. Again my apologies for not being more specific, I haven't used this feature in two or three Word releases. - Jonathan On 4/12/19, 8:55 AM, "nvda@nvda.groups.io on behalf of Bhavya shah" <nvda@nvda.groups.io on behalf of bhavya.shah125@gmail.com> wrote: Dear all, I presently switch to browse mode in MS Word and use standard quick navigation commands to navigate heading by heading. However, there is a certain scenario in which I need to be heavily multitasking, often not listening to NVDA at all but constantly taking notes, navigating to different sections (sorted by headings) of the Word document whilst constantly inputting text under each section. A problem I am commonly facing whilst doing this activity is forgetting to switch between focus mode and browse mode in Word, due to which I sometimes miss taking crucial notes as I am paying attention to something else rather than hear NVDA frantically say "not supported in this document" as I am typing while still in browse mode, or fail to navigate in the document and instead enter text like "hhhh" since I am still in focus ode. One way in which I imagine solving this problem is if I were able to navigate heading by heading whilst in focus mode itself in MS Word. I use Word 2016, and I seem to have some recollection of having read about the ability to performing heading navigation using Word 2016's Find functionality or via key commands along the lines of Ctrl+Alt+PgUp/PgDn. In case heading navigation by some internal Word 2016 functionality is possible, please explain the process of making use of that. I would truly appreciate any assistance. Hey folks,
So the subject speaks for itself.
Some of you may remember me from the other thread about the
add-ons'
section, isn't it?
Well, here we are again. Now, though, the situation is in
fact at least
a little bit better.
Our dear mozilla, on what I believe to be the latest
Firefox, changed in
a way the options' window, where we have general, privacy
and such.
At first, I was about to post here asking for a workaround
for this one,
but I found it myself.
The story is like that: being on said window, one can't, for
their life,
arrow through the options anymore. Well, at least it was
what I was getting.
Then, don't know why, but as a last resort I tried to play
with the
window using NVDA in focus mode.
Guess what? It worked!
In fact, I believe it worked because now in this very same
window you
have a search field where you can type in parts of what you
want to get,
for example "priva" for privacy. But, this field actually is
also a submenu!
No, you haven't read it wrong. It's a field and a submenu,
as NVDA
reports it.
I'll have to say, that's the first time I've seen something
like that.
Quite odd, if you ask me.
Well, all of this to say that, if you getting the same as I
got, then
justdo the NVDA focus mode thing or the equivalent on your
screen
reader, tab through the screen and then at some point you'll
be able to
arrow through the options like we are used to do.

a little bit better.
Our dear mozilla, on what I believe to be the latest Firefox,
changed in
a way the options' window, where we have general, privacy and
such.
At first, I was about to post here asking for a workaround for
this one,
but I found it myself.
The story is like that: being on said window, one can't, for
their life,
arrow through the options anymore. Well, at least it was what
I was getting.
It's a field and a submenu, as
NVDA
Cheers,
Marcio

Re: Free captcha solving chrome extension
Hello Arno,
Captcha Buster never worked for me here. Are you sure it's free? I think I read you had some captchas for free, and then you had to subscribe. But maybe I'm getting mixed up with another service.
Ciao,
Ollie

could you explain how your captcha solver works? In the German mailing list since the last week a captcha solver entitled Captcha buster is spreaded. It is available for Chorme and Firefox, too. If I understand the way it works correctly they use the option of recaptcha to recognize the alternative audio file. So if your solving routine uses an other way to solve the captcha it would be nice to have a second tool.
Yours sincerely

Hi!
I just wanted to announce that I'm now releasing a Chrome Extension for automatic captcha solving.
You can download the extension here: http://www.screenreader.ai/download_captcha_solver.html
I'm a sighted machine learning researcher that recently have caught an eye on the field of web accessibility.
Websites are primarily designed to be interacted with visually which is hard to do if you have a visual impairment. Here I think there's big potential for AI to help and look at the web page visually and then give correct and helpful information to the visually impaired or blind user.
I'm also the creator of the newly created but fairly popular NVDA add-on, "Image Describer", can be found at NVDA add-ons list, (if you're interested in trying out): https://addons.nvda-project.org/index.en.html
I'm looking towards doing much more than this, please contact me or reply to this thread if you want to get help with something accessibility wise or have any kind of feedback.

Oliver, is this extension going to be developed for Firefox as well? I hoped to test it and give you some feedback, but Chrome isn't my default browser hence I'm not comfortable with it to test something there right now. Also I never even installed an extension on this browser, so...
Looking forward to see this one in Firefox, and my apologies if I'm asking too much. Take your time :)
