Re: latest new windows
Uh, gentlemen, if the question is actually about Windows 10 (as opposed to NVDA interacting with it - which I believe has been addressed as completely as it can be) please take it either to the Chat Subgroup or the Windows 10 for Screen Reader Users group.

Re: how to copy text using clip speak?
I am presuming, based on Mr. Gaff's observations and a ClipSpeak download page, that what you're really asking is about the keyboard shortcuts for selecting text in differing size "chunks."
See: Selecting Text Using Windows Keyboard Shortcuts After it's selected, CTRL+C is the standard "copy to clipboard" command, as usual. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1809, Build 17763 Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of the cancer cell. ~ Edward Abbey

It might be an idea next time to include a brief resume of what the emaill lists are for, specifically, since there does seem to be a push to try to get folk to move stuff when it drifts away from the problems with nvda normally seen here to the subgroups.

Why does Word sometimes take a long time to allow control back?
Brian's Mail list account <bglists@...>
I've noticed this mainly with the last three versions of nvda, and it seems to follow no real pattern, but for those interested in logs..
Brear in mind this is a four core desktop and its usually pretty snappy in windows 7, but the older Winword2003 etc seems to be particularly sluggish. Would this improve if I shelled out for the latest Word 64 bit version do you think? Re: key repeat shut off
I'm not sure of what you're wanting.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
If you want NVDA to not report each and every key you happen to press, then the command is NVDA+2. If, on the other hand, you want NVDA not to announce commands in general, then you should hit NVDA+4. Now, if none of them is what you're after, write back so that I can offer further suggestions :) Em 18/04/2019 08:08, marvin kotler

Re: key repeat shut off
Gene
If you have NVDA set to announce keys like tab and
down arrow, there is no way around it, the command is either off or on and of
course, you wouldn't want to stop speech when using such commands. in
general. If you are in a situation where you do want to stop speech, such
as in an audio player, turn off speech.
