Re: how to copy text using clip speak?

Gene

Clipspeak has nothing to do with how you copy text.  to copy text you can't get to using the cursor or virtual cursor in browse mode, you need to use review keys.
In the dialog, move to the start of the text with the review keys.  Use NVDA f9 to set the start marker.
Move to the end of the text using the review keys.  Press f10 twice to copy the text to the clipboard.  I'm not sure if you will hear speech the first time you press f10 but it doesn't matter.  Press f10 quickly twice.

Is there not a key repeat and key delay in windows? I think that's what they mean? I'm not on my windows machine and won't be until probably tomorrow.

Re: latest new windows

Uh, gentlemen, if the question is actually about Windows 10 (as opposed to NVDA interacting with it - which I believe has been addressed as completely as it can be) please take it either to the Chat Subgroup or the Windows 10 for Screen Reader Users group.

Re: how to copy text using clip speak?

I am presuming, based on Mr. Gaff's observations and a ClipSpeak download page, that what you're really asking is about the keyboard shortcuts for selecting text in differing size "chunks."

See:  Selecting Text Using Windows Keyboard Shortcuts

After it's selected, CTRL+C is the standard "copy to clipboard" command, as usual.

I find that I get errors, on Microsoft word when I use that add on but for just normal cutting and pasting its the same as windows.

It might be an idea next time to include a brief resume of what the emaill lists are for, specifically, since there does seem to be a push to try to get folk to move stuff when it drifts away from the problems with nvda normally seen here to the subgroups.

Brear in mind this is a four core desktop and its usually pretty snappy in windows 7, but the older Winword2003 etc seems to be particularly sluggish. Would this improve if I shelled out for the latest Word 64 bit version do you think?

No, Issac, the entirety of your previous post is: "Hi, is it true that a new windows 10 is coming, and what will it be called and when is the release." There is nothing, nothing whatsoever, related to NVDA in it. Hence the reason for my prior message.

I have yet to see any recent version of NVDA break secondary to a Windows 10 feature update. I guess it could happen, but it's sure not likely.

The speech hub package is only in english all of the synth and voices. You
will need to install the add on as well for nvda to see the package after
the main file has been installed.

the add on can be found under c: drive then program files x86 then speech
hub then i think it is the add on it is the top folder called add on. it
will need to be installed the usual way for nvda to see the package.

The link to this one from drop box is

I think the following website if i remember right you can get free TTS
voices as well. if i remember right you do not have to buy the package as
the synths and voices which are free can be installed. I thin there are
commercial ones but you have to buy them. I thought i had lost this link a

I can drop box them for you they are about 340 meg with all voices and the
speech platform runtime engine.

You will need a program like 7 zip or one that can unzip the files for you
first. When done look for the speech platform runtime engine and install it
first. It is the only file that does not have the name of the file with TTS
in in standing for text to speech and the name of the voice and language.

You can get it from my drop box account at
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0rokrf6a4qijsvf/Speech%20Platform%2011%20engine%20and%20voices.zip?dl=0

The speech hub package also has other synths and voices but in a package
and
can be gotten off the following website at http://www.speakon.org.uk/

When you download the speech hub package you will also need to install the
add on so nvda can see the synths and voices. So the main package will get
installed then under your c: drive program files x86 then speech hub then
the folder for the add on it will need to be installed into nvda. Then
later
on you can change to those other synth and voices.

There may be other software there that you may like to try.

If you have NVDA set to announce keys like tab and down arrow, there is no way around it, the command is either off or on and of course, you wouldn't want to stop speech when using such commands. in general.  If you are in a situation where you do want to stop speech, such as in an audio player, turn off speech.

Hi.

I've got Kaspersky and I've paused it for five minutes but, I still
get the message

"Failed to load extension
FileF:\programs\chrome\captcha-solver-chrome-extensionErrorCould not
load background script '/js/background/headers.js'.
Could not load manifest.
Cancel
Retry"

Could it be because of the Kaspersky extension on google chrome?

office, and I ask him to disable or remove the program, and he didn't

Oliver, is this extension going to be developed for Firefox as

I hoped to test it and give you some feedback, but Chrome isn't
my
default browser hence I'm not comfortable with it to test
something there right now.
Also I never even installed an extension on this browser, so...

Looking forward to see this one in Firefox, and my apologies if
I'm asking too much. Take your time :)

Hi!

I just wanted to announce that I'm now releasing a Chrome
Extension for automatic captcha solving.

You can download the extension here:
http://www.screenreader.ai/download_captcha_solver.html

I'm a sighted machine learning researcher that recently
have
caught an eye on the field of web accessibility.

Websites are primarily designed to be interacted with
visually
which is hard to do if you have a visual impairment. Here I
think there's big potential for AI to help and look at the
web
page visually and then give correct and helpful information
to
the visually impaired or blind user.

I'm also the creator of the newly created but fairly
popular
NVDA add-on, "Image Describer", can be found at NVDA
add-ons
list, (if you're interested in trying out):
https://addons.nvda-project.org/index.en.html

I'm looking towards doing much more than this, please
contact
me or reply to this thread if you want to get help with
something accessibility wise or have any kind of feedback.
