This tells me nothing. That doesn't work for you I understand it, but without a log according to you how can I do to solve the problem? What you wrote is not helpful to anyone, but rather ingrate considering that I don't ask anybody for a penny to continue developing this asdd-on and that it works fine for me anyway. Thank you!

I uninstalled 6.0 got your update, had no weather.ini in nvda
directory or in weather plus add-on location, tried to update
cities, got the discouraging sound, and now says update

Hi Adriano,
Thanks for this update. I wasn't able to save any more than 2 cities before the bug fix. Every time I tried saving a new city, the program seemed to say it was saved, but it never appeared in the list of temporary cities when you tried invoking that feature. Now it appears to work as it should.

Dear friend, the same error I had. What I did the following! 1. I uninstalled weather addon. 2. I ran win+r and typed %appdata% and hit enter. 3. Went to NVDA and hit enter. 4. Then I checked and found two files weather.ini and weather.zip code. 5. I have deleted both of them. 6. I have installed weather+addon and everything settled! Hello: I have installed each new revision of the Weather Plus add-on
released today with no joy. Each time I open preferences Weather Plus settings, attempting to add a city results in a descending tone and the preference becomes unavailable after that. I have removed all weather stuff I can find from appdata/roaming/NVDA. It was working before the update. I wish I had just left it alone.

What is the error, did you google for it, and it's probably a good idea to post this on the nvda chat group as this has nothing to do with nvda. Also the next time you post the message on the nvda chat group include the error as you failed to do this before and we cannot read minds, at least, I cannot. I am back with another problem. The problem this time is that backup and sync from Google cannot open on my computer. I've been having this problem for some time now, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, from Google Chrome Data, but the problem has remained the same. So, has anyone had this problem before: how did you rectify it. I just don't understand what happens.

I don't have my numlock on. I don't even know of the numlock on laptop computers. My computer is set to laptop keyboard and not desk top. I did say that I use an external keyboard without any issues or problems. The problems I spelt out in my earlier mail, are not experienced when use the external keyboard. I am using it right now. it is on your keyboard, (that tends to be very nonstandard from 1 keyboard to another) so I'm not much help that way, but if you've got a sighted person around, that key often lights up. Also, you might want to go to the eas of access center & turn on toggle keys; that way numlock should beep when pressed either off or on.

It sounds like you are using a laptop which uses some of the letters as a number pad. You will need to press your Fn key and another key (the combination will depend on the exact model) - you might need to download the manual for it. Regards Quentin.

Actually the "highlight" function in Word seems to work differently to setting the text or background colour. Highlight doesn't change the values of those colours, but rather, it is a "toggle". When highlight is on, the background changes to yellow or whatever you set the highlight colour too. If you select the text and turn highlight off again, the text and background colours return to what they were originally. It looks like either this highlight attribute isn't being reported to NVDA, or we're not looking for it. Problems With My Computer Keyboard

I am having problems with my computer keyboard, and not with NVDA. My keyboard is malfunctioning. Some keys are just not functioning normally. For instance the letters J K L now types 1 2 3 U I L now types 4 5 6, letter M now types 0 letter P now types * the slash key now types +. Added to this some keys are not just working at all: the letter z key is no longer working. When I press the letter A with the capital letter, it doesn't get capitalised. This is a problem peculiar to the keyboard on my laptop computer. I am using an external keyboard to write this mail. Please has any one had this problem before? how did you get around it, or how was it resolved. Or does anyone understand what the problem is and how it can be fixed. I use an acer laptop computer. It has nothing to do with the operating system, because as I said earlier, I am using an external keyboard without any issues. Hope to read a solution. Ibrahim.
