Reviewing the screen with the mouse keys

I can’t figure out how to review the screen using the mouse cursor with the numpad keys. Is that possible with NVDA?

I complained once to pizza hut and they promptly put a link on their site for visually impaired users to use their mobile site for ordering but last time I tried ordering online which was a while ago it was not user friendly any more sadly!

I did attempt using papajohns.com the other day and it did seem to work pretty well so if that 1 is in your area it's worth trying!

Re: Outlook 2016 and NVDA
Richard Turner <richardturner42@...>
Thank you, that does work. With Window-eyes, when I hit control+y to select a folder, the number of unread messages is read as I arrow down. This way, you have to go into a folder, shift+tab then arrow down and the unread numbers works, pretty much the same number of keystrokes, just a slightly different approach. This I can get used to. Thanks, Richard

When you’re in the message list, shift tab once. You should hear the name of the folder you’re in and the number of messages it contains.

Booting Bug
Steve Hoad
I am using NVDA with a Toshiba machine that started life with Windows
7. All worked well, even through the upgrade to Windows 10 until about 2 months ago. Then, when cold booting the machine, here's what began to happen. After pushing the power button, a few seconds elapse and I get the "Windows sign in" message. The Windows boot sound plays but NVDA does not speak. I must go to my desktop (Windows M) press N and hit enter so NVDA will begin. All check boxes are checked propperly. I would be interested in any fixes for this, it is currently just an inconvenience but who knows what it will lead to. Thanks, -- Steve Hoad

Re: Switching from Win7 To Win10?
Gene
Just because something is free doesn't mean that it
should be used. I don't know if your problems with menus are typical
or just some odd problem you are having. If the problem is common, I would
never upgrade. The context menu is not equivalent to the full menus.
The full menus are one of the basic parts of Windows. Free or not, if this
is a common problem, I wouldn't do something that caused access to such a basic
part of Windows and Windows programs to be lost.

The only big thing I've noticed is that pull down menus don't work at all for some reason. If I hit alt and down arrow, I get nonsense and don't know what it means or wants. However, if I just hit the application key, then I get the old style file menu with all the good old choices and I can do anything I want just as I always did. Just one small thing to learn to keep using it. It has never crashed, nor caused anything else to crash so far, and seems as stable as Win 7 ever did. I would feel very mad if I had to pay for this, but because it's a free upgrade, I have no objections to it at all. Yes, Just like xp! Win 7 is going to be out dated! Yes there were bugs with 7. It took getting used to. Vista was just like 8 but 7 came in. I never touched vista. But I heard it was like 7. I went to 7 straight from xp. Mind you when ten becomes stable just like 7 it will be tossed into the trash just like 7 and xp!

We still have time after the 29th of july under the accessability switchover aparently not sure how that will work or whatever. I'd reserve my upgrade but I wouldn't upgrade at least not till august 2-3 when we get the new build out. To be honest I won't bother, if you have been on 7 for this long you may not need to even bother but it depends what you do. For what you are doing its not worth it. I was pushing myself upto it, one bit of software needs updating before I can, however after my vacation, I saw no point trying to cyke myself up again.
