Re: FW: Notes on NVDA and PowerPoint
Kenny Dog <hurrikennyandopo@...>
Hi Cearbhall
The closest I have got is all the shortcuts for powerpoint that can be used. I think they are for powerpoint 2010 and 2013.
The commands you gave can they be used the same on a desktop pc? as well or are these laptop ones.
I played around with powerpoint a while ago when it was first supported but that is as far as i went.
Would you mind if these directions are also put up on a website on how to use powerpoint?

Hi,
Me too. And some tables and I believe other objects as well are
not even read by NVDA. I should research that behaviour.

Re: free CD-burning program that will work well with NVDA
Damien Sykes-Lindley <damien@...>
Hi, Another really good one that I use regularly is CDBurner XP. The title was misleading at first, it led me to believe that it was only built for Windows XP - this is not the case. I have used it with Windows 7 with absolutely no problems whatsoever, and it is still being maintained. This one is at http://cdburnerxp.se/enHope this helps. Kind regards, Damien.

Re: brousers that speak the progress bars when downloading
Kenny Dog <hurrikennyandopo@...>
Hi
If the download manager is used I think it is in internet explorer, mozilla fire fox google play and maybe more when you start downloading the files you can use the CTRL key + the letter J to bring up your downloads. You might have to tab around or in some
cases where the files are up up and down to see what each file is up to. So i do not hear them all at times I will just turn off the progress bars thingy in NVDA with the nvda key + the letter U.
The download manager can usually be found under the tools section in the browsers.
hope this helps.
Gene nz
I am looking for a brouser that nvda will speak the progress bar when I down load I use to use webie but today it no longer works even after I uninstalled and reinstalled it. I really want to hear the progress bar when I download to know if my downloads
anre working or not.

Re: Outlook 2016 and NVDA
Richard Turner <richardturner42@...>
No, I wanted the count of unread messages in the folder and his answer works perfectly. Yes, sometimes that is also in the status line, but shift tabbing to the folder name reads the number of unread messages. Then, as you arrow up or down through the folder list it will read the number of unread messages in each folder. Thanks for the status line command, that will come in handy for some other applications. Richard
