How does one install the plug-ins that are packaged in zip files? Most are packaged as installers but there are a few that are zipped. Thanks.

I agree Brian ... mind you my dissertation is in poetry so doesn't necessarily folow the same grammar rules as prose. I do have a friendly proof reader and will be running it by her before submission, but I wanted to try to iron out those errant capitals if I could.

The regular expression search is useable, since I know when it flags capitals that are not preceded by a full stop whether it is corect to do so :)

Regarding IVONA, you can buy a SAPI5 version or a NVDA version.

If you can't find them, please say...

Hello!

We are in process of adapting the 2.0 and 3.0 drivers of Vocalizer to the new versions of NVDA with Python 3 and speech refactoring...

Version 2.0 of Vocalizer is now ready and will be published monday...
3.0 is still being tested.

After that, 4.0 will be released and will include a demo period...

Re: win10 addon update

Yeah, another one, this time I got hit with it.

Why do they ignore their userbase when they set it up in the first place.

I have just reformat to make the issue go away, if they continue botching up, well I am not leaving, but I don't know if unless you needed to if I would recommend things right now, because things have not been as pollished as I'd like in 1903.

The shell for example likes to crash enough on folder access to notice.

This latest search thing got me really fuming.

But I guess thats microsoft.

So I guess more reformats to get things to become stable only to get another botchup.

Sometimes I laugh at these but its different when its your behind on the line.

See this article for an explanation.  I think the most important sentence in the article is the one that says that despite being flagged by beta testers, Microsoft released the update.

Hi.  Tried it with Jaws and NVDA, and I must say NVDA is slightly ahead in accessing the interface.  From my initial findings, it is not good with speech synthesizers because there are bleeps when, for example eloquence is speaking, especially when you are previewing text with the arrow keys.  Good for music and audio played through third party apps like Winamp or Groove music though.  I am still experimenting.  Will come up with something in a bit.  Cheers!

Hi Robert,

In fact, when you enter your start and end times, whether in 12-hour or 24-hour format, you enter only one string.

It is only then that the time entered is converted into real time format and the comparison is made.

Can you confirm that the bug is fixed, or do you still have a problem when the start time is greater than the end time?

Regarding your clock chimes, you are welcome.

Thanks.

Kind Regards,
Abdel.

Hi everybody,

I am Abdel, a collaborator for the add-on Clock and calendar.

Someone reported the following bug when using quiet hours:

If the start time is greater than the end time, the duration of the

quiet hours does not arrive until the end time.

In principle, it must be the next day that must be automatically chosen

through an internal code.

This code is in the timeInRange function, defined in the dtfunctions module.

This function has been corrected as follows, to fix the bug:

> def timeInRange(startTime, endTime, checkTime, use24hour=False):

>     """

>     A function that can be used to check whether the time range

> received as a parameter does not match a specific time.

>     @param use24hour: optional: A boolean to determine whether the

> specified times format are 24-hour format or not.

>     @type use24hours: boolean.

>     @returns: A Boolean corresponding to the verification.

>     @rtype: boolean.

>     """

>     start=parseTime(startTime, use24hour)

>     end=parseTime(endTime, use24hour)

>     check=parseTime(checkTime, use24hour)

>     if end<start:

>         end+=timedelta(days=1)

>         if check < start:

>             check+=timedelta(days=1)

>     return start<=check<end

The 19.09-dev version of the add-on is downloadable here, it is also

available by clicking on the "development version" link on the community

site, as well as with addonUpdater, in the dev channel:

It will remain in development version during a period of 2 weeks.

Thanks in advance for confirming me if the bug persists or not.

Kind regards,

Abdel.

Both Windows Core Voices and Protalker have this issue and misread the
same words the same way, which is why I thought it was something to do

Re: Synthesizer issues? And searching for one.

The system used for demos is perhaps the poorest I've seen.  A demo driver is released.  It expires on a certain date and can't be used by anyone.  So anyone who downloads the demo driver has only as much time on the driver as there is for anyone else, no matter when they downloaded it.  You would expect that a demo would work for the downloader for a certain number of days, then stop or work for a certain amount of time each time you boot the computer, ten minutes, twenty minutes, then stop.  But this driver expires for everyone on the same day, and you can't run the voices as a demo until whenever a new demo driver is released.
