Has anyone else used this client? I find it to be extremely accessible,
with the exception of there not being enough keyboard accelerators. The software I"m talking about can be found at: www.zoom.us

And you guys critisise me for using msse.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
But yeah I agree with the poster, security cool but the most secure is usually not the most accessible and that says something about hte industry. Its bad, it sucks, its accessible, its good, its secure its not how do they expect the disabled to use their software. Answer so many buy they don't give a stuff anymore so we have to use substandard software.

I am hoping that an announcement will be made on this list with instructions. I imagine that there will be a new driver update that will need to be downloaded, and new versions of voices that also can be downloaded, but I guess we will all find out. Thanks.

Hi All,
I don’t write on this list very often, because I prefer to read your
opinions and keep learning obout our screen reader. However, I have a question
regarding the vocalizer update. What steps do I have to follow in cace I want to
upgrade when the update comes out?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

Sounds good. Maybe we'll get it in the next year or two. :-D I guess this is why most entities don't give out release dates... they are usually incorrect.

Hello, Just wondering if there have been any updates or announcements about the Vocalizer update that we have been expecting for a while now. Do we know when a release is expected?

Re: the new nod32 9.0?
I agree. Accessibility, even for an antivirus software which is critically needed for Windows users, is not being given a priority. Personally I don't use Nod32, so can't comment on my own experience of using it with NVDA. As a solution, as mentioned in this thread use either version 8 of Nod32 or use another av (though finding one that's accessible, and at the same time rated highly on lab tests and received positive reviews is going to be a pain).

It doesn't seem to give me errors in my windows XP virtual machine here, but, hitting enter on the theme menu item under NVDA preferences menu doesn't seem to do anything either.

I still find it intensely insulting that we are seen as an afterthought. If you are developing software you surely want it to be fixed when its launched not have to fiddle about downdating it until some clueless programmerhas fixed it. Shades of Microsoft attitude.

It surely is not rocket science if they already have a version which has the fixes in it to impliment any new version using the knowledge gained, is it? Re: Google drive sign in
Brian's Mail list account BY <bglists@...>
Yes the problem was that the current app did not put focus on the log in net page correctly and usually you needed to use a sighted person to get the mouse pointer on the right bit of the page. I have no idea why the navigation modes could not do it but the version I've been sent for the next release seems to have fixed it again so just wait till it appears.

This is where the stub download approach fails us, as it always goes for the current exe file and if that is buggy you can never get it to work. I'd think a better way of doing things was how dropbox do it, offer a stand alone installer and a stub one. Brian bglists@blueyonder.co.uk Sent via blueyonder. I want to say that I already find the notes extremely helpful. I think it would be excellent if both the creation and the use were together in the same document so that one has everything together for easy reference. Thank you for giving so much of your time and skills to help others. I for one really appreciate it. Through the notes you have provided so far, I have already learnt so much about PowerPoint. Kind regards Christo

Hi
I think what you are saying your lap top etc needs the following. I copied it from the menu
Use Presenter View Show the full-screen slide show using Presenter View.
The shortcut key if i heard it right is ALT + S then V.
I would have to see what to do to do it, I do not think my lap top has a copy of office 2010 on it to try it out. If i remember right you had to change some settings on the lap top, but it was more like a key press toggle then it took you back to the main lap top screen.
What was emailed any how will get uploaded tonight to the nvda tutorials for other programs page found at
http://www.accessibilitycentral.net/nvda%20tutorials%20for%20other%20programs.html . it can always be added to i just was not sure what some of the basics were or how much to put in. The shortcuts will also go up there tonight and will link to a drop box account. Wounds good what you said we are here to help each other. Gene nz On 19/07/2016 7:42 AM, Cearbhall O'Meadhra wrote:

Yes, your experience is correct. If you
check the ESET site, they clearly say not to use version 9 if you
are using a screen reader but to stick with Version 8 for now. Roger

Hi, I was recently asked to look at the new nod32 version 9 to see whether it would be safe to upgrade. The install was a nightmare! I powered through it, but the tap key could not focus any onscreen elements during the install and there were no alt key nemonics. F5 properly brought up the advanced settings window but nothing in either the main or advanced windows could get focus with the tab, and NVDA reported unknown repeatedly when new windows open and close. Is this the general experience of nvda with Nod32 9, or is there something in my setup that might be causing it?
