I still had the email with the link to the page so I found and installed all the English voices. It is working just fine and sounds promising. One voice sounds very like DecTalk and another kind of like Eloquence but they are all very easy to understand.

When I have a numbered list in a MS Word document, NVDA will read the number e.g. 1 followed by my text, and then read the next number in the list e.g. 2. I arrow down a line and I get the number 2 followed by my text and the number 3. What setting do I change to get NVDA to not read the next line number at the end of the previous line? Thanks. Greg

The documentation seems to just be the really basic readme pulled from github.
Now this is from a user looking at this briefly.
The addon works.
But it may as well be a pile of crap for all it does to me.
I don't know how to work it, there is basically no documentation except for a small description about what it does.
There isn't even a keyboard shortcut list.
If at all possible, I would like to see more than a learn more button labeled on the brother utilities and the iprint software.
There is a combobox on brother utilities but that and iprint are pritty much no gos as far as it matters.
Luckily unless you need to reinstall the driver you never have to bother with this really.
In fact depending on what you are doing, you may never need to bother about any of the brother software for basic tasks, both printing and scanning.
If your router or something changes you can edit the printer address as long as you have set that up yourself and configure it from windows and the web interfaces.
Hopefully you won't need to do that that often.
The software is a bit hit and miss, but then its not a problem because you don't need to use that software for scanning and printing which is about all we will ever need it for.
Anything else and well who knows.
The software for most brother things are just front ends for standard dumb users that want to use it.
The web interface is accessible enough for most users.
If you know how to configure a router then you will know how to use the web interface of any device like this.

win+A - open action center
win+A - closes action center and clears notifications.
Does this indeed work?

Playing tracks on Bandcamp.
Hey all. Anybody know how to play tracks on Bandcamp? For example: https://sundryitems.bandcamp.com/album/there-where-the-avalanche-stopsI used to highlight a button above a track name, hit numpad-0 and numpad slash together, and then hit numpad slash, and it would play. I've tried that, using numpad plus slash and then numpad plus enter. I've tried getting to a button and hitting NVDA-space and hitting space and enter. Nothing seems to be working. Is this just broken now, or am I missing something?

Re: NVDA With RH Voice SAPI5
Hi
You may need to arrow down to download button then either press the space bar or enter key to download the zip file. It only has 2 files in it one been the main add on and the other for language there is no voices in it unless I delete the file and do a
new one. I only tried out 2 of the voices in english to see what they were like.
it can be done with those other 2 voices or i could also get the other 2 and add into the zip file.

Hi
I have zipped the main file and also the language one if needed. I did not add any voices.
I will leave there for 24 hours.
The link to the drop box account is
https://www.dropbox.com/s/c8ga3uuiov5o847/main%20file%20and%20language%20RH%20voice.zip?dl=0
Out of curosity are you using internet explorer when you go to download those files as if I remember right they change the extensions to zip instead of leaving as usual. nvda add on.

Hi
the first add on you get is under a heading called nvda it says like main add on and will need to be installed.
then jump down to the english part and under that is another one for language data or some thing like that it will also need to be installed.
Just under it is 4 english voices you will need to download also and install the ones you want.
so if you only get one that will be a starter.
After the mentioned files have been installed you should be able to see the voices.
You just need to change your synth to RH voice first then pick your voices second or voice you want to use.
Hopefully it should get you up and running at the worst I can drop box main add on language one and the 2 voices i have here.

Re: Pop-up messages in Windows 10
Hi,
I can visually confirm that this does indeed make the notifications disappear off screen. Just note that it doesn't actually "clear" the notifications; they'll still be in the action centre.

Re: NVDA With RH Voice SAPI5
Thanks for this. I will see if I get any further than I did with
what I downloaded. Again SAPI voices work fine.
