Hi.  Unfortunately, I can't think of any Digital Audio Work Station that meets your needs except for Reaper which has very basic Synthesizers as it's virtual instruments.  Do you have a synthesizer Keyboard?  You can, if you do, use the sounds from there.  Reaper costs about $60 US, but yu can actually download an evaluation copy and use it for as long as you like, with the reminder to buy it popping up when you first use it of course.  It is accessible to a high degree if you download SWS and Osara to enhance it's  use.  I must also clarify that most Daws come with watered down virtual instruments, and most good or reasonable ones have to be bought.  Reaper also has very advanced audio editting capabilities.  Cheers!

It does not. It can show the generic dots 7 and 8, but not true formatting symbols. If I am wrong, I’d love to be shown otherwise.

I do not know about this version, but I can tell you this has been happening for quite a few versions of nvda and nothing seems to be getting done about it. rather I might be better rewording a bit it might be difficult to track down. but the result is the same for a few versions now this has been happening and it has been reported on and I am sure off list to the nv-access people.

Re: audio description

I would certainly invite others with more knowledge to comment, but I am quite sure there is not a one setting way to do this so that you would have access to audio description from all resources. I could not find an answer about accessing the range of networks that offer AD. That included searching on the Audio Description Project. By the way, I will put a link to their ADP site at the bottom of this note.

I do subscribe to Netflix which one can view from a PC. The service is not free. However they do offer a great deal of their programming with description. They were the test case to get AD for such sources and their own programing is described. Additionally, any film that has been described for theatrical release wo;; have the AD Description on their platform. The same is the case for films on disk that they still offer even as Red Box is pulling many of their units.

I am also an Amazon Prime subscriber, something I did for the shipping. They too have a great deal of programming that is described and is easily accessed via PC,

Hope this is of some help. The ACB ADP Project is at :

What follows, and was offered this morning by Robert Doc Wright godfearer, is the correct answer to the question posed.

That being said, this topic is now locked, as it is not, and never has been, about NVDA.  The question is about creating an desktop shortcut for Firefox and the answer is completely screen reader agnostic.   Sticking "with NVDA" on a question that involves NVDA in no specific way does not make it on-topic for the main group.  This is precisely the sort of question that belongs on the Chat Subgroup.

It's also not a "compare and contrast" with Chrome, either.  So offering how this is done in Chrome is doubly off-topic.

There is no need to do all of this in Chrome.

Simply bring up the chrome menu, then more tool and then create shortcut.

This puts a shortcut on the desktop with the  name of the webpage as the default title.

Hello, I think it’s the same as with chrome. You have to find an empty spot on your desktop, which you can do using the external numeric keypad, select the link in Firefox, and then right click the desktop to make a shortcut.

When you select the shortcut option, there are a number of fields that you can tab through. One of them will ask you for the half, and that’s where you put the link. Then the next box asks you to name the shortcut.

I experienced the same thing after upgrading. My NVDA, like yours, would not start at the logon screen. I also found the box telling NVDA to start at logon screen to be unchecked. After checking the box, rebooting NVDA and then rebooting the computer fixed the problem. NVDA works fine now.

If you go to a link for a food on the page such as Pillsberry wraps, that's just very roughly what the link says and the spelling is phonetic and you press enter on the link, it appears the link does something and it is shown as a visited link.  But I suspect, as I did before I looked. that something completely visual is brought up, such as an image of the flyer.  I can't be sure, but I think you are actually on that store part of the ssite.  The links I am referring to are below text that says something like food in store.  I suspect this site is inaccessible.  One thing you could try is downloading the page as a PDF.  Then, you could try recognizing it with OCR to see what you see.
