I think there's a way to install and uninstall OCR languages in
Windows, but a (really very quick) search in the settings app didn't
yield anything.

When you go to the "Windows 10 OCR" category in NVDA's settings, is
English there?

google.
It will then give you 2 options once only or always.


I leave mine on always?? It will do your whole page if there is no
description on any of the images etc. If left on will do it for all
your pages.


There is a message that comes up after you pick always just agree to
it and you are right to go.


It can always be turned off the same way but pick once.


There is a tutorial and audio one so you can hear what it does on my
nvda tutorials for other programs page.


Just look for get image describer from google in the list.

block them or make fun of them or such, as the occasion

And my query is that whenever I am trying to edit any text in the cell which is in excel so my screen reader is not working with it what is the problem whenever I am pressing f2 on any cell of Excel so my screen reader is just saying blank

We've "fixed" that issue with OneCore voices now, so you don't need to adjust the rate in Windows settings anymore - you completely adjust the speech rate from NVDA's voice settings (NVDA+control+v) now just like with other synthesizers.

We also just added rate boost as an option for Windows OneCore in NVDA 2019.2, so if you looked in 2019.1 or earlier then you wouldn't have encountered the option for OneCore :)

Finally on all this, another thing not everyone may have encountered, from 2019.2 you can toggle rate boost (for OneCore and eSpeak NG) from the synth settings ring.  Press NVDA+control+left or right arrow to move between options, and NVDA+control+up or down arrow to change.  If using Laptop keyboard layout, add SHIFT to both of those commands.

Hi,

I once tried to do that, but found it difficult to port the add-on to Python 3. Besides, Remote add-on patches speech functions that may have seen vast changes between 2019.2 and 2019.3, contributing to headaches.
