Microsoft One core voices

OK under the win 10 settings you have a time and language. When you open that you have a option for languages and one for speech. In both you can add voices. Which one do you use to add voices that can be used by NVDA?

Re: NVDA remote
Shane Davidson
Joseph, I’ve never experienced an issue with remote and win10 app essentials. If I can get far enough back in today’s backlog of mail and can find reliable steps, I’ll go play around with stuff and see if it’s reproduceable in some way. Robert, To fix remote’s busted wherein the connection/options dialogs won’t come up, delete %appdata%\nvda\remote.ini and restart NVDA. Why this happens is beyond me and I haven’t taken the time to grab the source and debug that particular busted as it’s just rare enough to not have reliable steps for reproduction. Shane

Hi, Hmmm, that’s interesting, more because my own add-on has failed to live up to its expectations… I’d like to get data from others experiencing the same issue where Windows 10 App Essentials interferes with Remote for some reason, and only removing the former restores the latter’s functionality. If this can be reproduced reliably, I’ll look into creating another mitigation. Cheers, Joseph

Good news. I removed win10 app essentials from my laptop and now remote works again. I still need to know what to do with a remote.2.2 does not allow the user to connect or open options.

Thanks to all who answered my question. I'm relieved I don't have to copy all my add-ons. That's a load off my mind.

Some voices cannot be used due to their lack of support for sapi 5. Hazel can be used but mark cannot for example. You would probably need to take this up with Microsoft in regard to this.
