Re: Re-Order quick actions in Action Center with keyboard
Hello, Yes, you can. The principle is the same as for tiles in the Start menu and maybe some other places in Windows 10. And that is: Focus an item that you want to move and then use Alt+Shift+Arrow keys to move the item. Note, that the items are placed in a grid with 4 items in a row and down and right moves the item to the right and on the next row eventually and left and up moves the item to the left and on the previous row eventually. Also note, that at least for me, NVDA does not announce the movement of the items (Narrator does). When you're done, tab to the "Done" button and activate it to save your settings. If you don't want to save your changes, press ESCAPE to just dismiss the editing window. Another note: the label of the "Done" button seams to be different for screen readers, but it is the one before the one for adding items to the quick actions panel.______ На 9.11.2019 г. в 0:31, Denis

Oh, okay. When I was on the advanced Jaws list. People complained that opera was not very user friendly. I never tried it I thought it was for deep coding! I guess it got better as time went on. I never seen questions about it in windows 7. Not until now.

Its another way of copying to the clipboard.
Remember, I said to use shift plus movement keys. and you don't have to
use the context menu. Shift down arrow and then use control

I made my last comments in the below message in
case you don't have NVDA set to display only one link on a line and if there is
more than one link on the line you are working with. You can use the home
shift end method for copying a full line of text.

You only have to use the insert f9 insert f10 method in places where no cursor
or virtual cursor is present, such as in a dialog.
However you have links set to display, go to the
first letter of the link, and move through it holding the shift and use whatever
movement commands you want, end, the right arrow key, etc.

Cheers Chris

Just chiming in to give the visual perspective: In Notepad, when pressing control+s: - If the document has not been saved before, the "Save as" dialog appears and NVDA reports that. - If the document has been saved previously, Notepad saves it, and NVDA does not say anything (unless you have speak command keys on, in which case NVDA reports "control+s"). Notepad does put an asterisk at the start of the filename in the title bar when a document has been edited. This disappears when the document is saved. NVDA does read this asterisk when reading the title bar.
In Word 365, when pressing control+s: - If the document has not been saved before, a "Save this file" window appears and NVDA reports that. - If the document has been saved previously and "AutoSave" is enabled, nothing happens and NVDA does not report anything (again unless speak command keys is on to report "control+s"). With AutoSave on, the document is saved every time any key is pressed so control+s is not needed. - If the document has been saved previously and "AutoSave" is not enabled, the visual response is again subtle. When you open a document, or save it, the title bar notes "Filename - Saved". Once you change it, the "Saved" disappears. This gets reinstated when you save it. There is currently a known issue, I believe with the way Office is exposing the title bar. See: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/10150
Similar to announcing cut, copied or pasted, reporting when a document is saved is not something we would be inclined to add to NVDA UNLESS we could be sure a document had been saved. I can see the usefulness of the functionality for some users (it reminds me of how when teaching email, people often want confirmation that the email has been sent, but many email clients don't give that). For this reason, I would recommend it might be useful functionality for an add-on. Possibly Damien Garwood, developer of the ClipSpeak add-on, might be interested in adding it.
Kind regards
Quentin.

External email alert: Be wary of links & attachments. Hello all,
Is there an NVDA setting which will have NVDA make a sound when a new window is opened? For example, it would be helpful if, when launching Firefox, NVDA would make a sound when the window is open. Right now, I wait a few seconds and alt-tab around to see if a new window has opened. Window-Eyes used to do this and it was a great feature.
Thanks,
