Re: Windows 10 Upgrade?
Roger Stewart
I did the upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 a couple months ago and it went just fine. All my files, folders, and more important--all my programs were still there just as though nothing much had happened at all! I didn't need to reinstall anything although I did reinstall nvda over the existing copy just to be sure. Just choose the option to keep everything and I think that is the default and you should be good to go.

NVDA and Sudden Strange Behavior with Outlook 2016
Dan Kerstetter
Hello all.
For the past few days, NVDA has been saying “no associated drafts” before each email message in the message list in Outlook 2016.
I’ve made no changes in outlook. Is there a way to stop this? I have a large number of emails each day and those few words add time to the process.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Try unchecking the windows pane and see what happens. In addition, whenever I get lost in Thunderbird, I press F6 and that takes me to the tree view of folder. I then use up and down arrow keys to highlight the Inbox folder and tab to the list of messages.
For this to work, you must have folder pane checked under view/layout.

Grate point, some of the stations don't provide a direct mp3 stream,
or they want you to listen live via iHeart radio.

Hi Group,
In Thunderbird, the preview pain setting is under view/layout and is referred to as 'message pane.' The hot key is F8, but you should check it first under view/layout and if it is not checked then it is not present and pressing F8 would turn it on causing problems.

Re: NVDA and Outlook message status
Christo de Klerk
I actually thought there is an icon in front of each message in the Inbox message list which indicates whether a message is unread, read, replied or forwarded and another showing that the message has an attachment. I assumed that Jaws and Window-Eyes interpreted these icons correctly and would then speak the appropriate status when you arrow up and down the message list, whereas NVDA does not interpret all correctly. NVDA indicates unread messages, but does not say that a message has been forwarded, neither, if memory serves, if a message has been replied to. In other words, I think this is probably an NVDA issue rather than an Outlook issue.

This is a peculiarity with Outlook (or at least Outlook 2010, which I think has been carried over). Virtually every e-mail client or web interface prefixes a forwarded message subject with either "Fwd:" or "FW:" and that gets read when going through the message list.

Re: Accessible radio player software for windows?
Gene
Tapin Radio is a good program. Unfortunately,
such programs may not have access to as many stations as previously. I saw
something on a list I follow indicating that there is something about rights
management and many stations are no longer accessible to such programs.
for some reason, they are restricting their streams to use from their web
sites. I've only seen one comment about this and I'm not saying it is
reliable information but such players may not be as useful as previously.
