Hello all,

Currently I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird as my RSS reader/client and I'm reasonably happy with it. But there is something missing in Thunderbird's client (and in Thunderbird as a whole), with which I'm not happy. And that is the syncing capability. I want my RSS client to sync my subscriptions between all of my devices (at least the ones on Windows). Thunderbird cannot do that. At least I'm not aware that it can.

So that is why I'm looking for an accessible RSS client for Windows 10 (and Android too, if possible), which is able to sync my RSS subscriptions between all of my devices. Do you know of such a program? Some time ago, I think someone posted something like that, which was fairly accessible and available for Windows 10 from the Microsoft Store. I think the poster was Joseph Lee, but I may be mistaking. But I cannot remember the name of the app in question, unfortunately.

I have the same problem with the newest vocalizer expressive driver version 3.1.0.

I can not switch between languages, hebrew engine and English voice.

I wrote privately to tiflotecnia, and uptonow, I don’t have good solution to my and my friends vocalizer expressibe users.

I purchased only three weeks ago three activations and paid 90 Euro for it.

What can I do more to solve my and my other blind friends users?

How do I correct this problem?  Where do I download the compatible drivers? Do I have to purchase the drivers again or do I qualify for an upgrade?

You are talking about implementation. You didn't comment on the process of
filling out the actual fields of the form, which is what I was discussing.
If implementation is poor, that should be addressed.

Actually, the form IMO, is a little bit difficult to use, & I am a
professional at this, both as a website hosting provider, designer,
developer, & technician as well as a computer repair technician
trained in computer forensics. So if you want to comment that it's a
question of skill level in my case, then fire away, but... The problem
is that once you pick a custom donation, go to paypal, & donate,
you're not returned to a page w/a download link/button. What I do is
just close everything out, go back to the check for updates page in
the NVDA help menu, then skip the donation & download & install the
update. But it is a little clunky, & I could see where some could find
the whole process confusing. If nothing else, it takes far more time
than it should.

I also think that some folks would find an edit field as opposed to a
spin edit field as a part of the fieldset for the custom donation
radio button less confusing. I understand the number can just be
edited, (or spun, according to operator preference), but that's not
something everyone understands.

I’ve always with NVDA, because I’m dulingual, have used the Switch Synth AddOn, which isn’t yet compatible with NVDA 2019.3, for via a keystroke switching be using Vocalizer, or ViaVoice, switch quickly between the English or Spanish voice. I tried setting up a profile that’d allow me to do this, but it doesn’t work as I’d like it to, for instance 1 for ViaVoice LatinAmerican Spanish, 2 for American English etc; like I have it set it up with SwitchSynth now. What alternative do you guys have, and will they make the SwitchSynth AddOn compatible? If I do update to the latest NVDA, I plan to continue using (hopefully it’s compatible with the latest version) Synth ring settings selector, however what I don’t like about this one is that when in ViaVoice, you switch to American english, the speed is the same as in the Latin American Spanish; I’d like to have it a little bit slower for English than Spanish. Thanks for any info you guys might have on this matter.

Tyler and all, thanks for direction on going to Input Gestures to enable this shortcut. This is the first time I’ve created an input gesture so appreciate your patience. Went to Preferences/Input Gestures/Vision and enabled the Screen Curtain shortcut. It assigned the Down Arrow to toggle this feature on. Not real helpful since I can no longer   use the Down Arrow to navigate around the screen. How do I assign another keyboard shortcut to toggle Screen Curtain on and off. Seems like Narrator uses Narrator/Ctrl/F12. Thanks.

Is your addon updater updated? If not, go update it and then try updating again.

First, on behalf of the NVDA add-ons community, I would like to thank everyone for your patience and encouragements regarding NVDA 2019.3 development. Now that 2019.3 (or rather, 2019.3.1) stable is out, more add-ons are making themselves visible via stable update channel. As such, if you are using NVDA 2019.3.x, please use Add-on Updater to update to compatible add-on releases.

 

NOTE: if you are still using 2019.2.1 or earlier, you’ll get a notice about add-on incompatibility when you update various add-ons. If you absolutely need to use NVDA 2019.2.1 due to important add-ons you’ve got, please DO NOT update add-ons. Going forward, most add-ons will require 2019.3 or later.

 

Another note: as I promised back in December 2019, Add-on Updater will be one of the last add-ons to require 2019.3 (last of my add-ons to require 2019.3.).

I see no reason it wouldn't be compatible with Windows 7.  The programming language has been updated, but that is an internal change and I don't think it would affect compatibility.  Also, you would expect that announcements would have been made about a lack of compatibility.  When NVDA became incompatible with XP, it was discussed here.
