I don't quit4 care for it at faster speed, but that's just me. I work at
high speed for anyone who has watched my videos and has heard my headset
bleed through. Lol! I can tolerate vocalizer but only for so much. They do
soudn better at slower speeds.

 Hi Don, I never used Vocalizer with NVDA, but I have it with Jaws. I know Vocalizer has a good selection of voices. I leave the Acapela synth settings on their defaults, so I haven't modified them at all. Acapela, like Vocalizer has really good sound quality & is very good to work with. I don't go really fast with the speech though.

Hello, i am watching things with subtitles for a year or longer. If anyone
needs any help about potplayer I'd like to help.
I tried to tell to developer make able us to read two subtitles at the
sametimes but he's ignoring that sadly.

You might try this.  After you move to an item you want to route to, try the command JAWS key f5.  That probably won't help at all, but you never know. 

 

I don't know why you have this problem and I never have problems routing when browse mode is on.  When I move somewhere in browse mode, turn it off, and route, it often doesn't work correctly.  If you are in browse mode, I don't know why you have this problem.  I'll add that I use an old version of NVDA because I like how it works better in one or two programs I use a lot and I don't need or use newer features so I don't know if new or recent versions would have this problem for me.  I may try the current or a recent version and compare.

expensive given the fact that NVDA is free for charge.
Or you use the old addon but install IBM TTS on top according to this

oh good job on gathering this list. However, I see also some ilegal addons in there (i.e. eloquence and cracked Akapella or Vocalizer voices). If you want them to work, you have to download them from official sources like CodeFactory or Tiflotecnia. Due to NVDA being free of charge, I guess it is reasonable and also respectful to at least spend some cash on useful things such as a synthesizer which in fach isnot very expensive.

 

Other addons like Sentencenav, Browsernav, Bluetooth audio, TextNav etc are already uptodate but the author did not request to update them officially. You can contact him directly or you can download the addons here:

Regarding Access solutions addon and the NVDA store addon, as Yannick already says, the addon is discontinued as well as other addons like i.e. console timer (not needed anymore), screen curtain (not needed anymore) or Vital Book Shelf (not needed anymore).

 

For addons from access solutions, please feel free to contact them if you want the addons to work further. This is valid for all the other addons that do not work.

By the way, audio themes 3d is working, the addon can be found on the official addons website under the development section.

Non-working: 73.

Means 50 percent of my addons have been effected due to the migration of the NVDA from python 2 to python3.

of course you are right.

I disabled the addons and checked it again.

Found out, that there is "symbol notifications" (Symbol Mitteilungen) installed.

this one is not compatible with 2019.3.1 which causes the strange behaviur ...

still - I think this makes no sense and should be fixed in nvda itselve, because the punctuation and other non alphabetical characters have to be read as words in word mode - rather than be ignored silently.

Will check if the addon has a new version / if I can change it to py3 syntax if not. - But guess there where more changes in the api...

as anounced I looked up the version of NVDA where it last worked correctly:

nvda v2019.2.1 gives the feedback as expected.

a "." is spoken emedeately. Other "words" are spoken on space or at the keypress of such special characters.

In V2019.3.1 special characters still trigger speaking of words, but are not spoken themselves.

 

This should be fixed as soon as possible as typing in word mode is no longer manageable.

Have you restarted the computer since you updated NVDA?  I just tried type a. with speak typed characters on, and NVDA read "A dot" just as you expected.  I don't have Eloquence, but it worked the same with eSpeak and with Windows OneCore voices.

 

Occasionally you get random bugs (such as this) after installing or updating the software but before restarting the computer.  Restarting the computer shuts everything down and loads again from scratch so usually fixes up these random on-off issues.

 

Also double check that you have speak typed characters on as well :)
