I can't get it to download. I wonder if she has reached her limit for Drop Box.

Re: minor bug alert
Quentin Christensen
For Ame, Had you restarted the computer when you were having this problem? After restarting the computer did it still recur? If it's working for Roger, the only other thing I can think of is are you using any add-ons and does restarting NVDA with add-ons disabled help?

Re: Editing of Windows onecore voices
Quentin Christensen
Hi Marco, You'll need to put your feedback in to Microsoft - the OneCore voices are built into Windows, NVDA just accesses them, it doesn't control how OneCore voices adjust pronunciation etc. You could talk to the Disabilitry Answer Desk at: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibility/disability-answer-desk Kind regards Quentin.

The file is an MP3. If you paste the address
into your browser, then change the 0 at the end to a 1, and then press enter,
the file will download from Drop Box without opening a Drop Box page.
People should make this change before they send a link they intend to be
downloaded without Dropbox opening a page.
Was this link sent to the list in error? It
is a rock song with no relevance to this list.

Hi, Actually, one can install add-ons into portable NVDA version provided that an installed copy already exists. Cheers, Joseph
From: nvda@nvda.groups.io <nvda@nvda.groups.io> On Behalf Of Gene
As far as I know, to install an add-on in a portable version, you can't just press enter on it. The whole point of a portable program is to run and not make any changes to the system it is running on. If it told Windows to install add-ons with the extension used, that would be making a change in the registry. I'm quite sure that you must use Manage Add-ons in the tools submenu of NVDA when installing to a portable version.

When you are on the item, open the context menu. You should see something like show in containing folder. Pressing enter on that item should open the folder and it may place you on the file itself.

I don't have an installed version so I have to use
the Manage add-ons option in NVDA. I'm very curious about what I asked
before, how Windows knows what version to install to, the portable or installed
version if you press enter.

2019.3 Well, I guess I didn't know better, but I install add-ons to a portable
version in the same way as with an installed version. I just press ENTER on the
.nvda-addon and it installs to the running version. Updating add-ons works the
same way for me. On 2/16/2020 8:10 PM, Gene wrote:

Re: New Member Seeking Tutorials
Gene
Depending on how much you know about working with
Windows and Windows programs and browsing, you may only need specific
information such as how to use object navigation, and screen review. The
quick navigation keys for browsing will be very similar between JAWS and NVDA
and my impression is that Window-eyes used roughly the same commands toward the
end of its versions.
I can't suggest specific tutorials but that may
help you know what to look for.
If you need more instruction, others can suggest a
lot of material.

trying to complete this captcha audio challenge
Stephen
Hi.
Not sure if this is a bug in the version of firefox I'm using, or an issue with Arkose Labs if I go to https://www.arkoselabs.com/technology/#ArkoseEnforce Then elect to get an audio challenge, then I attempt to type what I hear and click verify, I am not able to solve the puzzle. It gives me a cryptic error message about audio challenge requires some extra steps. Can anyone else try to solve the audio puzzle and tell me if they are successfull? Thanks.
