Re: start nvda at logon checkbox not working
Well uncheck the box, hit ok, exit nvda, then start nvda again. I have tried this on my system and it works, nvda is not running at login eather just after it but I have turned all of them off and its ok so it should work.

profile triggers and what to do if NVDA does not automatically switch to previous profile (observed in alpha 19691 ...)
J.G
Hello,
before I'm going open a ticket I would like to ask community in case I have missed something about profiles. Some years ago I created profiles for applications and say all, which has been brought to NVDA 2019.3.1. And now everytime, when I stop a "say all", NVDA does not switch to previous profile for instance basic profile or app profile. In previous versions like 2019.2.1 it worked fine. It also have worked for some alphas ago. I cannot exactly determine, when it has stopped work. So what can I do to resolve a problem or is it a bug? I use portable copy of alpha now on version 19691... on windows 10 1909. thx for your responses. regards, Jožef

simviation, with an 's', not a 'c'. OneCore pronounces the version starting with an 's' correctly. It does indeed pronounce the version with a 'c' pretty strangely, I'm honestly curious what processing makes it do that because it makes no sense. But it's probably due to a misspelling anyway, and if it's not, yes, dictionaries. NVDA even uses synthesizer-specific ones for exactly this sort of situation.

Add-on Updater 20.02.2
#addonrelease
Hi all,
Add-on Updater 20.02.2 is now available. Hopefully this release will be the last time you’ll get to see add-on compatibility notice after installing it.
Also, this is both a stable and an experimental release: if you are using recent NVDA alpha snapshots (not many of you should), you’ll find that add-on updates cannot be installed if using Add-on Updater. Add-on Updater 20.02.2 will disable compatibility range check so any add-on update can be installed. If this experiment is successful, it’ll show up to everyone in March.
IMPORTANT: version 20.02.2 might be the last version to support NVDA 2019.2; version 20.03 will require 2019.3 or later.
Cheers, Joseph

Re: MP3 Direct Cut Chattering too Much with NVDA Add-On
That should have been, "Looked at its configuration in the NVDA settings panel," which is where they appear to have been subsumed since NVDA 2018.2

Have you looked in the Help (NVDA+H) for the Add-On or its settings & configuration panel?

cimviationI can't find that word in any dictionary, but that's beside the point, as there's lots of jargon that doesn't appear in many general purpose dictionaries. I can't think of a single synthesizer that pronounces everything correctly. And that's but one of the reasons for the dictionary feature of most screen readers where you can substitute some phonetic spelling that, somehow, the synthesizer does produce correctly that's unrelated to the actual spelling of a given word. I've had to do trial and error until I found a letter pattern that gave me the actual pronunciation I wanted for a low frequency word. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Power is being told you're not loved and not being destroyed by it. ~ Madonna

Hi Is there anyone using Libra Office Calc that could explain how to format numeric columns such that a fixed number of decimal places is displayed without truncating trailing zeroes? For example I want to display 123.40 not 123.4.
I appreciate this message belongs on the chat list, so could some kind person please furnish me with the NVDA Chat list email address and details of how to subscribe?

Hi all,
I am trying to get some info from a field on the page but it says to use the mouse to view. I have looked at the object navigation methods after the suggestion on another list but I still can't figure this one out.
If there are any hams on this list who use the qrz.com site and know how to get the email address of someone on qrz.com using NVDA I sure would appreciate some help.
Thanks. -- Dan Beaver (KA4DAN)
