Re: NVDA And T.V. Tuner Remote

Hicks Steven (CORNWALL IT SERVICES)

Thanks, I will have to check the keyboard settings option as I don’t think that passing individual keys through will work.

Thanks for the advice.

Hi,

When using my Hauppauge t.v. tuner with NVDA running, the NVDA seems to interrupt the key presses on the remote control.

Seems like it needs some sort of pass through mode turning on, does anyone have any idea on how I can work around this please?

Besides the basic mouse cursor movement keys, to shift it's position to match other focus points, to click etc. - check out the mouse section of the help/keyboard commands, the following add-on offers other forms of mousemovement, saving mouse positions, etc.:

Weird issue!

Danni

I post on www.delphiforums.com and all has worked fine until today! when I go into a forum and click post new normally I get a box to type in and subject box and other options but today I click post new and get nothing?

My neighbor came over to look and it's working fine but NVDA isn't reading it and am wondering if a setting got changed and what setting that might be? am baffled and hope to heck this made some sort of sense? lol

Re: Web pages not being refreshed

Just to reiterate what I found when I looked into this - the issue has been fixed in Chrome 81.  If you are keen to use pre-release software, you can download a beta of that now.  Otherwise, it is due for public release on 17th March.

Kind regards

Quentin.

I've noticed this too. What works some times for me is to alt tab back and forth from one window and than back to google chrome.
I hope this helps, and that it can get fixed soon

StationPlaylist add-on 20.03 #addonrelease

Hi all,

StationPlaylist add-on 20.03 will be released in a few hours. This version requires NVDA 2019.3 or later.

The key highlight from this release is improved encoder support. Namely, NVDA will now announce connection status messages until the selected encoder connects. Other changes include column announcement slot behavior in Studio (NVDA will now announce first ten columns when you press Control+NVDA+number row when focused on a track in playlist viewer) and removal of automatic track name announcement from Studio (this was actually a hack, and it no longer works; to hear currently playing track name, press SPL Controller, C).

As this is a stable release, SPPL add-on 20.03 will show up via Add-on Updater. Please make sure that you are using NVDA 2019.3 before installing this add-on.

Cheers,

Joseph
