Are you able to take a screenshot of that window, upload it somewhere, and post the link to it here? It's really impossible to give any guidance without knowing what, precisely, is going on in that window. If it won't read the contents to you that's even more critical. What you're describing is not something I've encountered before.

conference software updates
Hi.
I wouldn't usually report any of this but since we are in lockdown mode over this virus I thought I'd do it. Firstly for all of those expecting updates you will have noticed all updates bar essential updates are going out. So sadly for those chrome users wanting the latest update there isn't a chrome update right now at least not yet. For hp systems network and diagnostic software got updates as well as support software on applicable systems. There was a small update for the codec guide, some camera and other non urgent apps. Skype 8.5.0.93 is out for those that care. The update landscape seems to have locked down, my graphics card has got no updates this month neither has much else. Also be aware that out there there are some ratbags hacking health phacilities like hospitals and there is a program out there on android to track the virus spread which is actually fake and will instead lock your phone, charge 100 dollars for you to pay someone then wipe the phone and ask you to pay to get your stuff back so be carefull where you click. Remember all, that while this virus is a problem, fear is also a major killer. Remember the hitch hikers guide cover and don't panic. I will post more on chat.

We didn't change the way it works from the earlier version, simply updated the code to work with Python 3. The behaviour should be the same as it used to be.

Have you got any Word add-ons? Or programs which might be trying to do something with Word? I haven't encountered the issue you're describing myself. I'm using Office 365.

triple talk and NVDA

Greetings to everyone, I have been using my external triple talk with NVDA for a few years now. But sometime in the last few updates, NVDA won’t work with the triple talk. I checked under speech settings but the choice isn’t there anymore. The drivers are still on the computer because the triple talk still works with JAWS. Can someone give some suggestion how to get triple talk back in as a choice? Thanks in advance.

For anyone using the Emoticons AddON, what won’t it copy the selected item to the Clipboard as before? I either go through with NVDA+I, or within the NVDA Tools menu,select the emoticon, and when I go to paste into Twitter or other fields, the clipboard is empty! I go about it by pressing Enter on the Emoticon I’d like, and no results; by tabbing once to the OK button and nothing happens either. Any ideas?

Probably not relevant, but, maybe try going into NVDA voice settings - NvDA key + V - and, tab over to automatic language switching checkbox and try turning it off? After that, there's also anotehr checkbox for automatic dialect switching, and, while neither of these should specifically switch synthesizers - don't think so anyway - maybe try turning them off to see if that makes a difference?

You probably have a config profile. If you don't want one, delete it. If you do, then go read the docs to understand how they work, and how absolutely broken the design is.

NVDA automatically switches between two synthesizers

Hello guys,
I'm facing a weird issue with NVDA. It automatically switches between two synthesizers. For example, if I'm using Windows One Core, then NVDA will switch to E speak by itself as soon as I interact with any of the Windows's application s or any word/text file. To fix this I have to reselect the synthesizer of my choice and restart NVDA. The issue remains when I restart thee computer. I'm using the latest version of Windows 10 and NVDA 19.2.1.
