4.  Review your column order by going to the top of the list and down arrowing through it so you know what the "First announced to last announced" order is.  If you find a mistake, then repeat step 3, moving the column or columns to where you want them.

5. Navigate to the Close button for the dialog and activate it.  You're done.

Hi,

It won’t interfere as long as you copy it, although the file might be named differently than what you expect, as the file transfer agent will first download the file to the temporary directory. As always, the usual way to obtain stable versions of NVDA manually (apart from updates) is visiting nvaccess.org website.

I am wondering. I almost never get the full installer from the website now that you have the automatic updater which prompts you with every new release.  As per your description, I was able to find the updates folder under program files (x86)\NVDA \systemConfig folder structure. If when I am prompted to update NVDA, I should choose the later option and then go and copy the file from the updates folder and leave the original in that folder, would that interfere with the automatic updates when a few minutes later, I chose to install the update?  If not, that's a nice way to get the original installer in the event that you have a system crash where a reformat is necessary.

I am wondering. I just tested the latest zoom with jaws, and I am able to successfully navigate text fields and use the arrow keys to review text that I have written, where as with NVDA, at least, the old version that I'm using on my old system, I am unable to handle edit fields as easily.
Is this a fault with zoom, NVDA, or jaws?
How does the latest NVDA handle text fields in zoom. Can you type things in and then review what you've typed with the arrows?

Help isn’t in preferences.  It is in the main menu.  Also, that doesn’t explain how to find out what the latest version is.  NVDA has an automatic alert if updates are available.  Unless this has been turned off, you will receive such an alert when you run NVDA.

Hi,

What you do is go to the NVDA menu with insert N. Arrow down to preferences and hit the right arrow to open it. Then arrow down to help. Hit your right arrow on it and arrow down to "about". Hit enter on it and you should hear the version of NVDA.

Hi list members, i'd like to know how can I make sure that I have the latest version of nvda?  From what I can tell i'm not sure.  P.S. I also have a question concerning nvda and native access.

Hi list members, I have nvda version 2019.3 I don't have the latest version of nvda which came out recently. When I tried to update it said that it was up-to-date. But that couldn't be right since the most recent version was just released not to long ago of this year. Can anyone tell me what I need to do next. Thank you.

Hi,
Unless I didn't read it properly, did you tell us which NVDA version you've got? If you have any add-ons, you may run into problems as older add-ons will not work properly on NVDA 2019.3.1.

At least builds based on Office 2019 will run on Windows 10 only.

However, Microsoft Office is a distinctly seperate product from Windows 10, therefore, wouldn't it be prudent to have an additional addon called office365 essentials to deploy these and future fixes=?

The book is by Jonathan Mozen – not sure if I spelled his name correctly or not,

It is very good but uses JAWS instead of nvda, but the content should lend itself to NVDA.
