Does anyone have any ideas? I've seen some scanners that do 3D scans of items and put them into a CAD program, but again, I would need it to be accessible in some way.

BQ is not a shop.
They are cell phones and tablets manufacturers, or better, a celular phones
and tablets brand.

Hello Salva,
Why do you think the BQ store may have some ideas? Are they blind owners?
Have they worked with blind users on this problem before? They look really
big, and contacting big stores out of the blue doesn't tend to get me good
results.
Thanks,

Hi.
I think so because about two years ago they started to work with the ONCE, here in Spain, and I think they continue working with the ONCE.

Re: audioScreen.add on for nvda

Pranav Lal

Hi,

I have used this add-on with a touch screen. You need to understand the sound schema and once you do that, you will be able to interpret the shapes of images.

You can read more about the sound schema at http://www.seeingwithsound.com.

I use the add-on regularly so let me know if I can help further.

the last I read about this add on I thought they stopped work on it but it looks as though there is still work been done on it, but you will need the latest version of nvda etc.

Hi,

I don't know the thunderbird way but in Outlook, I had to write a macro to extract background images from messages. I can't understand why people use this way of communicating.

Will the NVDA OCR add-on help?

I do not know if this topic has been handled before.

Some people insert photos directly into the message instead of creating attachments. When I worked as a journalist this caused constant problems and the situation doesn't seem to have changed.
Does anyone know how to save photos which are included as a part of a message?

Re: Speech recognition and deaf-blind

Hi John and all,

Desktop speech-recognition systems namely Dragon from Nuance and Windows
speech-recognition from Microsoft are not speaker independent. They have come
close to it though training does help in my experience. In my experience, Dragon
is more accurate so try that. You should have a good quality microphone for best
results.
