Re: Recovering an Acapela activation key from unusable computer how’s it done?
Well code factory is ok as long as you lock and unlock your keys.

Its stated you need to do this when you activate its not that hard to do. If it screws atguys or code factory will probably help you reset your count or clear your ids or something. Mind you you may just have to buy more unless that is you use atguys which are always fast.

Re: Minor Problem: NVDA Closing/Exit Sounds Not Being Heard When Exiting NVDA
David Goldfield
I am happy to report that v1.6.3 of the Acapela driver has fixed the problem of the exit sound not being heard when exiting or when restarting NVDA. When I first loaded the Acapela voices there was some noticeable difference in that the pitch sounded very low even though it was set to 50. However, switching to another voice and then back to my preferred voice fixed that glitch, as well.

Is there a website I could go to, and manage my activation keys without depending on the machine on which the key is activated, to deactivate it? I wouldn’t want to loos any activations unnecessarily. Thanks for info.

Re: Focus Issues on Facebook Desktop Site Using Firefox
George McCoy
That doesn't work for me. I face this issue in all Chromium-based browsers, firefox and the old edge.

One thing that helps a bit is to get into the habit of using nvda plus spacebar to turn off focus mode. It almost seems that the escape key is getting through to facebook. If I get stuck in the reactions area, I find that clicking one of the reaction buttons using the spacebar lets me exit focus mode using nvda plus spacebar without zinging off to the bottom of the newsfeed or list of posts in a group. This behavior makes it nearly impossible to use facebook desktop efficiently. George

Hello everyone,
Add-on Updater 20.07 is on its way – it will show up in about an hour or so from now. Key changes include ability to detect and present a message about legacy add-ons (add-ons with features included in NVDA; as of today, this applies to Enhanced ARIA, Focus Highlight, and Screen Curtain), and possibility to save add-on update settings by pressing Control+NVDA+C, revert to saved settings (Control+NVDA+R), or reset to defaults (Control+NVDA+R three times).
IMPORTANT: Add-on Updater 20.07 requires NVDA 2020.1 or later. Although the add-on will work with 2019.3 with modifications, please update to NVDA 2020.1 or later for best experience.
Cheers, Joseph

To be honest thats why I am all for sapi voices in the big synths but then I want to be a multiuser type deal. I don't really need high quality voices for general admin, after all, crappy and fast with good performance is fine for my general day to day life. Playing games or reading books, then yeah I need better voices, but espeak does what it does which is read the screen. The issue with high quality voices is while you can use them to read the screen there is a delay when they do things and there is a bit of lag. They are fine for books and games though. Espeak is also good in dosbox but that could also be my old dos days. Of course depending what the game is, you need a voice that fits. Sometimes there are arcade and other games that while you can run a high quality voice, especially if these are mimicking older arcade machines, high quality kinda doesn't go, then something crappy and robotic sounding like eloquence fits that machine. Beatstar for example fits a lot better with eloquence because I concidder it an arcade type unit type deal. But it depends on the user and what you do of course. For most of the time I actually need performance over quality. As long as its read then its fine.

Re: Code Factory & NVDA 2020
To be honest that was why I got myself sapi eloquence and vocaliser. True they cost me more to buy but I don't have this issue with nvda versions. If it wasn't so ruddy expensive I'd buy the entire acapella sapi to but you can't download the full english or multilang infovox and need to buy it as well a flash drive. That would be fine but at double the price after buying it in the uk, no thanks. Its a pitty new zealand or australia don't have a local distributor at all. Its also a pitty I can't just buy it as an online purchice from acapella itself and is probably the only thing stopping me getting that one. Seroproc is nice but with everything being 25 bucks each and with noveltys being 10 bucks each I'd have to buy everything as indevidual products. Neospeech is allso split up as well as ivona and while maxiaids has the old neospeech for a reasonable price and while they claim to ship outside the us, paypal seems to only work in the us so I had to give up. I may try later on and see if I can manually send them cash without using paypal for the thing. Or at least not the paypal form, I have brought things with direct email address submition before and it has worked.

I also have difficulties with Outlook, but specifically the calendar. When in day view NVDA will frequently crash when using control tab or control shift tab to move between the calendar view and the arrows that go to the previous or next day. I would say this happens one out of three times and specifically when focus lands in the calendar view. Windows 10 professional, latest version of NVDA and office 365
