Question about IF Interpreter NVDA add-on

So, I have downloaded frotz for my pc and, tried to load a game with it. However, nvda didn't read anything. so, I installed the IF Interpreter NVDA add-on. Well, this add-on is not supported with NVDA 2020 I forget the version. Anyway, is there any way I can play interactive fiction with frotz with NVDA?

Well did that and it has improved the performance  however   The issue of nvda reading behind the selection still persists.

 

But not Shure that this is an excel problem, as it does the same in Gmail, and other applications.

 

so, when you arrow down NVDA reads the line before the line which you are on.


but for anyone looking for how to do it here is a quick guide.

How to Disable Live Preview in Excel

 
The live preview in Excel shows how a feature affects the document as you hover over different choices. For example, when hovering over different types of charts, the selected data will demo different charts. To disable the Live Preview, please following the steps below:

press alt tap f then tap t

Uncheck "Enable Live Preview" in the options dialog box

In my own experience, when I run a macro to process an Excel worksheet, Excel slows down dramatically after each run of the macro so that I have to restart the computer to get back to a speedy process. I have read that this is a memory management problem with Excel which fails to flush out previously used memory and so runs out of accessible memory slots.

 

I raise this here, in case you are finding this sluggishness right away when you start NVDA or after working for a little while? In that case, I would recommend that you put on the NVDA log for a full working session so that the team can see just what the computer is doing and whether this is an Excel issue or due to NVDA programming. I intend producing such a log myself for both Ms. Word and Ms. Excel which both end up running slowly and frequently crash!

But I don't think NVDA developers can do something about it, or add on.

The area where NVDA can perform OCR is the part that appears on the screen.
And it's not a fully functional OCR feature.
You must use an OCR software for this.
It can be, for example, Finereader.
Some PDFs can analyze Chrome well.
