Most definitely! I wouldn't be using them if they weren't. Especially
because I use Linklocker every day, multiple times a day,  to either
save or retrieve something. I use it with Firefox and NVDA, and it works
well. I do have a Pinboard account, which is used to store my Twitter
favorites.

pinboard is also very accessible. It's text and links. It could be
from the 90s.

Submitted answers for writing plaintext / code / IDE.

So yes, the built-in Notepad can be used to take notes.
You may have created a good note-taking environment when you divide the topics into different folders.

But people don't take notes that way. And this is not a portable method.

You are reading an article on any website. You want to save the article somewhere. Perhaps there are sentences to underline.
Nothing on the web is likely to stay the way you first found it. Some contents die. And those contents can be very important.

This is why people use applications such as OneNote and Evernote.

You can tag notes in those applications, you can save websites content , and you can connect between notes...

These features are not what notepad supports.

And most of these apps also have a mobile app.
This way, people can take new notes, update, delete, etc., even while on the go.

If you know of such an application, please let me know.
If there is still no note-taking application available, I'll write it in Golang.
I can not believe this. Maybe I've tested 10 apps and none of them are compatible with screen readers. We are in the 21st century. It's so scary.

Truthfully, I didn't get any warnings when I went to the page using
Firefox. However, sometimes a website can be compromised w/o an
author's knowledge. I did scan the site using Sucuri's sitecheck tool
& found no evidence for that. The site does contain both secure &
insecure (mixed) content, & http traffic is not redirected to https,
so perhaps this is what Malwarebytes is flagging. Looks to me as
though the site hasn't been updated in a veyry long time, which also
leaves open the possibility of a compromise w/o the creator's
knowledge, but, again, I don't see evidence of that.

with false positives while the vast majority declare something clean.  If
you've got between 0 and 10 of about 80 engines saying something is
positive, they're probably giving false positives.  When something is really
malicious a virustotal scan will "light up like a Christmas tree" with
engines declaring an infection.

Hi all.

Pontes Media is safe. A program don’t safe is, for example, Multi Extra, but the developer also created in 2016 an addon malicious for NVDA and this person is popular for this reason.

When I need download a video in audio format I use TCA Media Downloader. Is a program created by Peter Reina, in Python, but is only in Spanish, my native language. Is easy to use.

Hi All,

I am using win10 Ver 2004 Build Dot 450, nvda 2020.2, and the stable version of edge.  When I use nvda and go to my bank site I have to use f5 to get it to read the page.  When I use chrome jfw 2020 and narrator the page comes right up.  Is there any way to correct this with nvda?  Thanks for any help.

Brilliant this is a similar strategy to the way I did research for my masters thesis in 2012
I also had to convert huge numbers of PDF files imaged based are used a lot of tools including the strategies you discussed below regarding all the file management and notes management strategies
For a totally blind use a notepad on its own is one of the best tools
And example if you have a complex document in Word or webpage or something do you want to destroy all its formatting paste the information into notepad
That does it for you instantly
I’ve been doing this accessible document creation stuff for more than 20 or 30 years
Since about 1993

In your browser Alt D to jump to the address bar and then simply  control C to copy the address – alt tab to notepad and paste in the link.  Again  for accurate referencing purposes in your thesis.

Back to the browser I would then F6 back down to the web page and press select A and copy all the text of the web page to  the notepad file as well as a failsafe  in case the webpage goes offline etc.

In extremely rare circumstance if there were loads of headings / tables and navigation  was essential I simply save the web page for offline html reading.

As I say people’s needs may differ but I think the reading of content / analysis and then writing is probably more important than the tools used.
