I have just tried using Narrator but Narrator seemed unable to navigate within the document area of Notepad ++

I do not have another screen reader except Narrator.... I cannot try this with another one.

Can any one else confirm this as a nvda bug or notepad ++ bug?

Hello,
I just tested with NVDA and another screen reader.
I had a document with two occurrences of the same word.
Pressing f3 brings me to the second occurrence. But it does not indicate that I changed the place in the document. So to be sure, I press escape after the result is displayed.
With the other screen reader the line where the word is located is displayed, so it is easier to understand that you reached another result.
Pressing escape is also helpful.
Otherwise, have you tried the NVDA search function : nvda+ctrl+F, then NVDA+F3 to search for the next occurrence ? It seems to work here.
But I still have to press escape at the end.

Yep, turning browse mode off does indeed let me see the button.  However, in Firefox it takes quite a few shift-tabs to get to it.  It isn't very convenient at all.

I used to have basic mode as my default before I did this clean up activity but now it always comes up in standard mode.  I thought there was a choice in settings for making it always basic mode but I have searched through settings and can't find that either.




When I did a google search I found a page that talks about it but only gives 2 links, one for using standard mode and the other for using basic mode.  It doesn't save this change at all, you have to use them every time if you go to that page.




This is getting super frustrating.

the command you mentioned highlights the different items I have recently opened in the task bar. as soon as I press the command it immediately opens.

the result it is the same if I have multiple istances of Microsoft Excel window, or Mozilla Firefox window.

I have the feelling it is not depending from the Screen Reader, but it is a Window Operating System issue, maybe a graphic issue?
I've removed all graphic effect, but with no result.

Anyway, somebody who had the same issue solved in some way?

I'm using NVDA at the last version and Windows 10 64 bit last update on a desktop PC.
The same anyway it is also on the laptop with Windows 10.

see a button that says Basic HTML View using Chrome.  My experience,

however, is that this button doesn't work reliably to change the view when
