Again, this is where configuration profiles would come in handy. You could have this on for Excel, but off for your web browser.

Re: silencing certain reading of tables in NVDA

Hi.  I've noticed that when you turn off cell coordinates as described, it completely silences the reading of blank cells in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.  Cells which contain data are read.  I had to turn it back on.  I don't know if the same thing happens in other programs with a tabular structure.

Thanks,

Louise

I was able to get the button to activate just fine by pressing space or enter on it in browse mode.

It did not work at first because there was a modal covering it. If you jump to the top of the page, there is a dialog prompting you to create an account or login. Either do that, or close the dialog and the play button should work.

hi.
make sure that in nvda general settings, these items be checked.
Automatically start NVDA after I log on to Windows
Use NVDA on the Windows logon screen (requires administrator privileges)

Reenable the addons one at a time and see which one brakes. Then write to the addon developers and see what they say. Remember to provide logs when things do infact brake at debug level if they ask for it at said level.

As I said, you may need to change the F11 for GoldWave and/or Playroom.

Not all input gestures are assignable, and if the one for NVDA Remote happens to be a fixed one, then look to the other(s).

There are a finite number of keyboard shortcut combinations, and the more add-ons and/or other software that's running the more likely a collision will occur.  If you have two that collide where neither can be changed, then you will need to disable the one you do not need at the moment in Add-Ons manager.

Hi,

Right , F11 won’t show up in input gestures dialog as it is a hard-coded value inside Remote add-on. Tyler, any thoughts?

Cheers,

Virtually all shortcut key assignments are handled in the Input Gestures dialog of NVDA.

From something once sent to me by Joseph Lee:  one would go to NVDA menu/Preferences/Input gestures, expand an add-on category, then expand the unassigned command description and press a hotkey to be used to perform the described command.

In your case you will possibly be dealing with both unassigning and reassigning previously assigned commands for one add-on then assigning for another if you've got multiple add-ons that use the same function key for different functions.

I missed the thread, however can you type in the numbers? I assume not. Show your bank what happens and why this needs to change. As someone stated, if they cannot or will not comply, move banks, or at the very least, make that threat.

Basically you need to tell your bank tha  because of their security system you can't get access to your account and you have a right to do that, so they can either remove it or get you to bypass it or fix it.

If they don't then time to change to another bank and give them a bad rating.

When I go to the edit box to enter the number it gives me 000000 and expects me to spin the zeros into the numbers in the code. Re: Spinning numbers on a bank page?!

If this particular code entry will not allow the code number to be typed or pasted in, then the bank needs to be told that this is not acceptable nor good practice for an accessible site.

Many of these things that have the sort of animation you're referring to still allow straight typing in or pasting in of a value.
