Yes, it’s gone. Look up the IBM TTS voice on GitHub. You will need to compile it yourself probably and add the appropriate dll into the recompile, but it’s a good voice and has the breathiness etc. there si a bug with voice boost, but over all it’s good.

hello!
i am using codefactory eloquence with NVDA.
but while using this i am not getting options like inflation , breathness and headness.
anyone is aware about this thing?
OK … this admission is going to cause me no end of grief and embarrassment but I always do try to be as honest and transparent as I can. When I was on the donation page after selecting the Download option I was using a screen reader which was not NVDA. When I accessed the page using NVDA the labels for the two sets of radio buttons were clearly being rendered. I don’t know if this is an issue in how the actual page is constructed or a bug with that other screen reader. If it’s the latter I sincerely apologize as it would definitely not be an issue with NVDA.

Subject: [nvda] Questions Regarding The Donation Form on Nvaccess.org
Hi. As I wanted to upgrade my copy of NVDA from the release candidate to the final 2020.4 release I decided to download the executable file from the Web site so that I could access it offline in the event that I should need to do a reinstall. I also decided that I wanted to make a donation to NV Access while doing so and I will say that I was successful in doing so.
On the donation form is a series of radio buttons for specific amounts along with one to specify a custom amount, which I’m fine with. The one thing that confused me is that there appears to be two separate groups of radio buttons in one list. The first group contains several amounts along with an “other” choice. Following that are more radio buttons in the same list, with another radio button labeled “other.” I gather that the first group of radio buttons are for one-time donations and the second group is for monthly donations but please correct me if I’m misinterpreting what I’m hearing.
The problem is that there is no explanatory text to differentiate these two seemingly separate groups. I kind of figured this out when for the second group Paypal indicated that I would be making regular donations to NV Access but the first group seemed like a one-time donation. If this is the case I’d like to make a suggestion that these be separated into two separate lists with explanatory text clearly indicating the purpose of each list: one time donations vs monthly donations.
Again, if I’m not interpreting this form correctly by all means please do let me know. I’m only pointing this out because those of us who are able to do so are quite happy to donate to NV Access due to how important NVDA is to so many people.

Subject: [nvda] Problem with instalation of Vocalizer driver
Hi all,
I am trying to install Vocalizer expressive driver add-on version
3.0.14 on the PC at my job, and I have an issue with instalation of
mentioned add-on.
When I try to install the driver add-on, I get the following message:
Add-on not compatible: Instalation of Vocalizer expressive 1.1 driver
3.0.14 has been blocked. An updated version of this add-on is
required, the minimum add-on API supported by this version of NVDA is
2019.3.
I have NVDA version 2020.4, Windows 10 build 14393.
I have been trying to install this add-on since NVDA 2020.1, but same
message appeared every time.
How can I fix this issue and install the driver?
Many thanks in advance!

NVDA 2020.4 This release includes new Chinese Input methods, an update to Liblouis and the elements list (NVDA+f7) now works in focus mode. Context sensitive help is now available when pressing F1 in NVDA dialogs. Improvements to symbol pronunciation rules, speech dictionary, Braille message and skim reading. Bug fixes and improvements to Mail, Outlook, Teams, Visual Studio, Azure Data Studio, Foobar2000. On the web, there are improvements to Google Docs, and greater support for ARIA. Plus many other important bug fixes and improvements.
Please note, after updating any software, it is a good idea to restart the computer. Restart by going to the Shutdown dialog, selecting “restart” and pressing ENTER. Updating software can change files which are in use. This can lead to instability and strange behaviour which is resolved by rebooting. This is the first thing to try if you do notice anything odd after updating.

Hello,
Is there an audio editor other than Gold wave that will let you record drops along with the music bed underneath the voice?
I mostly want to use it for simple recordings from 30 seconds to one minute in length.
Any help, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Regards,
Thomas.

For me, capslock + F7 brings a popup "Do I want to turn on caret browsing?" from the Chrome browser. Version 2020.1 Interestingly, With input help on(capslock + 1) and I press capslock + F7 this reports NVDA + F7 and not the expected "Browse mode elements list."

I have already responded to this where you added to another topic.
Please do NOT post the same question to multiple topics on the same list, or multi-post across lists. Ask once, and wait a reasonable time for an answer before asking elsewhere, and never ask on two topics in the same venue.

Are you positive that you've got the NVDA key held down before hitting F7? You might also have a wonky NVDA key on your keyboard.
F7 alone is the toggle for caret browsing in the Chrome browser. It seems like the "INS+" or "CAPS LOCK+" part of the shortcut for the elements list is not being detected by NVDA.
