Makes wonder who the company think might buy their voices?
I do hope they have tactfully pointed this out to the voice vendors that the nvda screenreader is very popular and people will either start hacking or going to other companies for their extra voices if they don't get it sorted out.

He actually said June. I believe that there is no update coming, and will
be surprised if we do get one. There are new voices that we do not have,
and errors with certain content not being read out, and numerous other bugs
that have existed ever since this last version. Promises have been made,
and yet there is still no update... yet it is still being sold. you won't
get an answer about the technical fix because there it is proprietary or

This software also has some JAWS scripts available, however I'm not sure how
well NVDA will work with it. I haven't tried it out for a long time.

Hi, Christo,

We are a small indie gamedev studio (Dawn of Play), based in Slovenia, and are working on a spatial-memory game for two players.

Flip the Dice could fit what you're looking for:

Let me know, if it looks interesting to you - it is still in development, but I could provide you with a testflight beta build, if you want to try it out?

Thank you Joseph! I am so glad that the San Francisco Light House for the blind has help so much in the NVDA cause! I will try my best to be on line during these conference times, and I will participate. Let’s go NVDA! I will try to help you guys all I can. I tell everyone about NVDA, and I even help them install it on their computers, and they cannot believe what a free screen reader gives them.

Hi all,

Please spread this far and wide, especially for folks living in North America.

September 9, 2016

Los Angeles, California, Boulder, Colorado, San Francisco, California – The organizers of NVDACon US, one of the largest gatherings of NVDA users, developers and enthusiasts around the world, is proud to announce that San Francisco Light House, a blindness agency in the Northern California region, will be joining the conference as keynote speaker. With over a hundred years of service to the blindness community in the San Francisco area, coupled with recent donation to DictationBridge project, the organizers felt the agency is best suited to let NVDA community know what they think about the NVDA community to provide advice and support for members of the community.

“This is a perfect opportunity for us, especially during the midst of our tenth year celebration,” says Derek Riemer, a student at University of Colorado at Boulder and the chief organizer of NVDACon US. “Just donating a massive amount to DictationBridge and other actions show that SF Light House is dedicated to making sure NVDA is successful in the North American region, and having an outside agency talk to NVDA community members is a great opportunity for us to bring fresh perspectives in this important occasion.”

Well I mainly use it to play my albums from Apple Music. Even that with NVDA and Narrator its sluggish when I tab around just to get to my track list. I'll be very surprised V 12 and a half will come out the on the 13 when IOS 10 drops. If it does, I bet it will still be a mess.

WebVisum is working just fine here and I'm running the latest version of Firefox--48.02.  Hope this helps. If you're running something odd like betas or nightly try builds, maybe it won't work but if you use the current stable version, all should be good to go.

Hi Gene

Yes it’s the right click, left click does nothing and left double click
invokes the same gui as using the desktop shortcut, where the temporary
disablement feature is a bit more difficult to find. I cannot get the
AVG icon to respond to the applications key either, which would remove
the need for mouse access . Most other icons in the Overflow
Notifications Toolbar will respond to the Applications key which behaves
like a right mouse click but unfortunately AVG does not. I suspect the
in-built event handlers do not cater for keyboard input.

Numpad star is a right click. Are you saying that a right click should
be used on the icon? I want people to clearly understand the reason for
your command choice. It may matter in future when they want to use the
mouse to right click something else in the system tray or elsewhere.

Gene is quite right The first keypress should be NVDA+Numpad / however
the second keypress should not be Numpad / but Numpad * to invoke the
Context menu. Apologies for the incorrect post.

The corrected steps are:

1. Press Windows+b to move to the system tray.

2Press enter on the Notifications chevron button.

3 Use arrow keys to scroll the overflow notifications list until you
locate the AVG anti-virus button.

4 Press NVDA+numpad / to move mouse *focus *to the AVG button

5 Press Numpad * to activate the AVG context menu (Note: i can’t get the
Applications key to invoke the AVG context menu, hence the 2 step process)

6. ‘Temporarily disable AVG protection’ appears in the Context menu list.

When you activate the disable option, a dialog appears with various
warnings about removeing protection and instructions about re-enabling
it. You can also set a timer to automatically re-enable protection
after a certain time has elapsed.

All references to numpad 8 should be changed to numpad slash. So to
move mouse focus to the button, the command is numpad insert numpad
slash. To left click the mouse, the command is numpad slash

To do the above, follow these steps:

2. Press Windows+b to move to the system tray.

2Press enter on the Notifications chevron button.

3 Use arrow keys to scroll the overflow notifications list until you
locate the AVG anti-virus button.

4 Press NVDA+numpad 8 to move mouse *focus *to the AVG button

5 Press Numpad 8 to activate the AVG context menu (Note: i can’t get the
Applications key to invoke the AVG context menu, hence the 2 step process)

6. ‘Temporarily disable AVG protection’ appears in the Context menu list.

When you activate the disable option, a dialog appears with various
warnings about removeing protection and instructions about re-enabling
it. You can also set a timer to automatically re-enable protection
after a certain time has elapsed.
