Strange! In my Firefox 89 the value is "True" and it works normally...
Maybe dependent of Windows in use? My Windows is Version 21H1 (OS Compilation 19043.1052)

It's a known issue with Firefox - but oddly only for some users. A workaround from Mozilla is to try the following: 1. Start Firefox. 2. Enter the address about:config in the address bar. 3. Accept the warning. 4. In the search box, enter the word skeleton 5. In the table below, browser.startup.preXulSkeletonUI should appear and it will have a value of true. Press the Toggle button to set it to false. 6. Restart Firefox.

Re: NVDA not reading lines in a multiple column document
Quentin Christensen
Is it one you can email me offlist Pranav? I just created a blank document, set it to two columns, dumped a bunch of text in it, and NVDA can read and navigate fine. Note that if you just up arrow or down arrow, NVDA will stay in the same column - actually that's not NVDA, that's how navigation in Word works - if you control+up or down arrow to move by paragraph, or read using say all it moves as expected. I tried using NVDA 2020.4 (portable) and NVDA 2021.1 beta 2 (installed) on: Windows 10 (64-bit) Version: 2009, Build: 19042 Office 365 (64-bit) Version: 16.0.14026.20228 Quentin.

NVDA not reading lines in a multiple column document
Hi all,
I had to work with a word document that was split into multiple columns. I am not talking about tables here but newspaper columns. NVDA went silent for some lines. Jaws worked just fine which is how I know that the document had multiple columns. This was on my work computer running windows 10 1809 and Microsoft word 365. I have tested on my home machine that has windows 10 Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1052) running word 365 Specifically: MicrosoftR Word for Microsoft 365 MSO (16.0.14204.20000) 64-bit The text is being read but the columns are not being detected. Is anyone able to duplicate this? I am using NVDA version 2020.4. Pranav

Adriano Barbieri posted the following to the add-ons list today:
You can get his contact information from NVDA's add-ons manager. Hi to every one, Download: https://www.nvda.it/files/plugin/weather_plus8.0.nvda-addon Note: this package contains incomplete translations, due to delays with the translation system also for the emergency that Weather_Plus 7.7 with Yahoo Weather API is no longer functional. Note2: Set the API response language from the add-on settings window, if your language is available. This thing is experimental, it may be that your language is missing, I know for example the Croatian one is missing, but if it should be unsatisfactory, in the future I will replace it with an internal translatable list. Feedback is welcome. Thanks regards Adriano

I'd hope there will be an announcement when it does come "back online." Re: Problem with Weather Plus Addon
Ron,
This has already been discussed, today, on the topic I retitled, "Problem with Weather Plus Addon." It's an issue with Yahoo, and it may or may not be resolved. I ask you, and all members, to please review existing topics, all of them, that are active in the group before posting new ones on the same issue on the same day. It's completely unnecessary, and it is up to the members to actually read through what has been offered, first. -- Brian - Windows 10, 64-Bit, Version 21H1, Build 19043 I do not understand why some seek to separate a person from their actions. Problem with Weather Plus Addon
Ron Canazzi
Hi Group,
The wonderful add on from Adriano no longer works. I have over 100 cities set up: one as a permanent default and the others as temporary cities. Something must have changed with Yahoo because in all 100 Plus cities, I get the error message: "the lo ID is not valid." I haven't seen anything from Adriano on the NVDA official list for months now. I am wondering if this add on is being developed anymore. -- They Ask Me If I'm Happy; I say Yes. Re: Reading Desktop Icons in List View
If you open Desktop in File Explorer you can set the view to whatever you wish. The only difference between Desktop and all other folders is that it has one special presentation, which is on the desktop itself. But you can view it in File Explorer (and I very often do) and I use details view.

This may not be the most elegant way to read your Desktop icons in a list view, but I use the Run command, Windows R, and type Desktop. All of the icons are there, not in a grid, but in a list view as you had requested. Thanks.
