That's good to know. However, I don't have the sapi5 package to test it at the moment, so I will not see the new voices that have been added. I'd assume they added those new voices to their latest driver for NVDA as well?

I just got the sapi update after reading this message.

A note, there are a lot of updated voices, so you will have to uninstall then reinstall all the voices that have updates after updating your eloquence and vocaliser sapi package.

Also please note that a lot of voices will become uninstalled after the updates but their names will remain in the registry.

To fix it appears all you need to do is uninstall all the voices that have updates, and reinstall all voices.

I wish there was some way to remove all the broken voices or to update all the voices but oh well, its taken me an hour and the voices are installed.

Several new voices as well as ml varients so maybe ml means mobile they don't sound much different.

Its good to see a few more voices especially another one for australia.

I never experienced any issue. I paused the updates briefly but then went back to the normal schedule/channel and everything ran fine. I think it may only have ffected those who have firefox profiles. Running 89.0.d with the latest NVDA plus a now ratehr old version of JFW with no problems.

Yes, 89.0.2 resolves the issue

A few weeks back there was discussion that a Firefox update wasn't very

accessible in a few ways but that a fix would be coming. Has the new

Firefox with these fixes out by now? I just got a notice that a new

version is available and just want to know if I should go ahead and get

it or still wait a bit.

Just to jump in on the M1 comment. I have a new MacBook Air with the M1, i run the insiders build of windows 10 and use NVDA through that.

Works surprisingly well, i do have the base MacBook Air with 8Gb of RAM and the performance is surprising. So if you have more RAM to dedicate to the VM than i do the performance will be even better.

I do however, find the current performance acceptable.

will work. Any reassurance, tips or guidance on this would be hugely
appreciated.

much troubles with NVDA it was however an older model and more
importantly a desktop one.
If your Macbook is going to be an one of the recently released with an
M1 processor then you're out of luck since Windows cannot be made to run
on it natively for the time being and while virtualizing it appears to
be possible there is apparently a big lag with assistive technologies
when using it that way.
Also an external keyboard is certainly something which should be
considered since newest Mac models don't have a physical row of function
keys and while VoiceOver allows to emulate them it is impossible to do
under windows.
