I cannot answser all your questions. First, there are some differences, yes. They are really not that significant. The desktop is much the same, my computer is called The start menu is changed some. If you want to searchfor something, press the windows or start key and enter your search. Arrow down through the results and enter on your choice. There are some more windows shortcut keys, like “windows key plus I” for settings. Just jump right in, it’s alright. There is a group for win 10 it is called winaccess; To join; go to;

Hi, The latest stable build of NVDA is 2021.1, and Place Marker works fine. Here's the direct download link for the addon https://addons.nvda-project.org/files/get.php?file=pm --- Suhas Sent from Thunderbird “You know who you are. Re: object enhancer addon
hurrikennyandopo ...
Hi
Thanks to Rui if you install this add on into NVDA it will now come up in English
It also installs into NVDA 2021.1
The link to the drop box account where you can download it and try it out can be found at https://www.dropbox.com/s/dqnooxmas5utw70/objEnhancer_2019.2beta1_Gen.nvda-addon?dl=0
I think the other language is in Dutch so there would be no other translations.
To see how to use it after it is installed read the add on help section.

Is Code::Block Accessible?
Life in Six Dots
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if Code::Blocks is accessible with NVDA or JAWS? Preferably with a braille display.
Many thanks, Paul

Re: audio themes add-on? any plans?
There is nothing preventing anyone from sharing versions they've done workaround tweaks for if the tweak was as simple as changing the manifest file. Talk amongst yourselves off-list.
But if you want the issue addressed, permanently (or as close as one can hope for), you must contact the add-on developer. The NVDA Add-Ons Compatibility Page notes: Audio Themes

Re: How to Suspend lock screen while reading All with NVDA
I should also have stated that the Turn off display and Put computer to sleep settings are present under Plugged-In, as well as, On Battery. These should also be examined and reset to your liking.
In my case, sleep is set to Never when the computer is plugged in, while it's set to 20 minutes when on battery. -- Brian - Windows 10, 64-Bit, Version 21H1, Build 19043 Yep. Discipline. Accountability. Joy. Fun. Responsibility. That's what life is about. And in that order. ~ Liza Minnelli

While my computer is on battery, after 1 minute of inactivity, it goes to the lock screen and then the sleep process begins- Regardless of the outcome regarding any NVDA setting, Zahra is right that you still need to tweak your power settings to make your sleep when on battery power longer than one minute. Control Panel, Power Options, Change plan settings link. Then tweak the two dropdowns under On battery to extend the amount of time before the screen gets turned off and the computer goes to sleep. Also consider opening Windows 10 Settings, Accounts, Sign-in Options pane, navigating to the dropdown for Require Sign-in - When you've been away, when should Windows require you to sign in again?, and changing the value to Never rather than the default of When PC wakes up from sleep. This really depends on whether it's your computer, somewhere that only you have access to it, or if it's a work computer in a cubicle where anyone could walk up and wake it from sleep. -- Brian - Windows 10, 64-Bit, Version 21H1, Build 19043 Yep. hello.

in power options of control panel, you can decide that on battery and on pluge your computer does not go to sleep. also, if you wish to read long texts by say all command, in control panel display, just disable screen saver.

How to Suspend lock screen while reading All with NVDA
Olcay AŞCI
hi group,
I remember reading the sentence in one of the NVDA Release documents, "run the read-all command will automatically prevent the computer from going to sleep". What exactly is the scope of this? Has there been any successful work on this? I would like to ask if it is possible to enable this function with a setting. While my computer is on battery, after 1 minute of inactivity, it goes to the lock screen and then the sleep process begins. Is the requirement to run this something I've overlooked?

Re: accessible streaming services
hurrikennyandopo ...
Hi Aim
The following page might help from off my website at http://www.accessibilitycentral.net/accessible%20on%20demand%20and%20video%20streaming%20services.html When they were tested they were done with nvda.
TVNZ they are 2 lazy to label the graphics for the movie they used to be at one time now they just say in the link new season. To gt around it use the google chrome browser it tells you the steps so you know what the shows are.
The page also tells you if it is accessible from off the phone either android or apple or tv as well.
They all have there qwerks and makes you wonder how they test for accessiblity as in TVNZ on demand.
Any how if there were any qwerks then it would of be mentioned. Things can change like they did with tvnz on demand.
I do not know about other services as I do not use them but if there are other blind people on the list who use other streaming on demand services with a screen reader either on the phone or computer please share how well they work.
This is from the New Zealand side and some of the services to us.

I truly depend on the functionality of that app to tell where items are on the screen, let alone what kind of items they are.

Hello, yes I use that functionality all the time. I just like lying because it updates and reads the screen automatically based upon settings you have. The Nvda ocr works great but you have to do it manuallyg
