Re: Introducing NVDA-addons.org, the largest international add-ons store with official and unofficial add-ons from all NVDA communities

Sarah k Alawami
Ah Ok. So, I’m not going crazy then. That’s good to know, at least in terms of the web page. Nicely done. Is there a way to hide the add ons let’s say for 2017 and below? I still get the same 51 rows even after the filter.

The command is very important when one is editing a long text.

Maintaining NVDA-addons.org is only one of our initiatives. You can donate through PayPal, credit/debit card and GitHub Sponsors, using the widget at the bottom of each page.
- Direct contact: We are human and willing to help. Send us your thoughts, questions and suggestions to admin@....
How can you collaborate? - Adding new add-ons: You can submit a review request for one add-on that is not registered. It doesn't matter if you are its author or not. Once we've verified it doesn't contain spam, it'll be published to receive public comments regarding add-on usability and security. In absence of them, or after they've been resolved, the add-on will be added to the database. If you've specified your email, you'll be given direct access to update that add-on. You can also submit a review request for already registered add-ons to discuss usability or security issues.
- Letting us know of add-on updates: If you find an outdated add-on in our database, don't hesitate to reach us at admin@... with all the information you have about the new version. We'll happy to publish that new version, provieded that it's from the same author or we have reasonable evidences of abandonment from that maintainer and a new one continues the development.
What happens if you have an interested friend who doesn't know English? That's, in fact, the idea behind the translate widget. Just choose your native language and enjoy. We know that no translation can match a human translation, but this is our easiest and simplest solution to have NVDA-addons.org internationalized. If you want to export our catalog to your local NVDA website, don't forget that it's available in JSON format at https://nvda-addons.org/files/get.php?addonslist On the other hand, don't worry to write us a message in another language. We'll make our best to reply you. What is coming next? We're now announcing the first version of the website but can't wait to think about the future. Héctor Benítez has developed an add-ons store prototype for NVDA-addons.org, which will be enhanced until it gets to a stable version that we all can use to review the catalog and download the add-ons we want from NVDA directly. You can download the prototype, in spanish, from: https://nvda-addons.org/files/get.php?file=tienda I really hope this new tool is useful for you and every NVDA user you know. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Best regards. -- Iván Novegil Cancelas Equipo de xestión web e desenvolvemento

Re: NVDA sometimes crashes when using edit boxes in INTERNET
Dear all,
I do not recall experiencing this more recently, but at least until a couple months ago, I frequently encountered situations where NVDA would choke up and go quiet whenever I went into focus mode on an edit box in Microsoft Edge. (This was unique to Edge and did not occur in Firefox in my case.) The only remedy was to launch Narrator, wait for a while for NVDA to begin speaking or press Ctrl+Alt+N, and then try interacting with that edit box again confronted by the same non-trivial probability of NVDA freezing when entering the edit field. I will revert with further details should I experience this again in the near future.
Thanks.

nvda global commands extension
Hi nvda tech gurus
I hope you are well.
I am trying my best.
I have found this wonderful addon for nvda called nvda global commands extension.
It is nearly the same as JAWS command for activating system tray, taskbar window, etc.
It can also echo copy, cut and paste commands.
One thing that I think it still needs to do is emulating the append command.
I think that command is very important and needs to be added to the list of commands already packaged with the addon.
Is there any plans about that soon?
Shedding light on that is appreciated in advance.
God bless Marisane

Re: I Can't Find The Menu bar On Microsoft Edge
you won't find a favorites menu either.. With alt key or alt+f will bring up a menu. That is a long menu and everything is in there.

Re: I Can't Find The Menu bar On Microsoft Edge
I’m not sure what is causing the problem. Try holding alt and typing
f, then releasing both keys. If that doesn’t help, I’m not sure what to
suggest. You might be able to repair the program, but I haven’t looked
into how to do that. Let us know if alt f works or not and I will try to
find information on repairing Edge, unless someone already has.

What to do to solve that problem?

Just a guess, try pressing the f11 key for "full screen".

Re: QT Applications are not accessible until I restart NVDA
I tried with VirtualBox, Qt Online Installer and a small sample program that I wrote myself. I recently reinstalled my operating system and now this issue occurs only half the time. Other times, it's immediately accessible. I got an error in the NVDA log. The full log is as follows:
