Hi, thank you all for sharing your must haves. I'm still learning how to use the pc with NVDA and it is so nice to see the different add-ons people find most useful.
Again, thank you for chiming in on this topic.

Wow, thank you very much for these helpful tips.
Much appreciate it. I'm not very tech savvy and still learning much about using NVDA. Cheers

Thanks Steve, then I'll ask CodeFactory what to do because it doesn't work for me. Just one more question... do you mean the SAPI5 version that you can use with other screen readers or the addon for NVDA which contains Vocalizer voices as well? Thanks. Bye. Gigi Il 30/09/2021 18.20, Steve Nutt ha

Actually CodeFactory SAPI5 Eloquence does have that feature, and it works here.

If you are talking about Eloquence in SAPI5 it will not have that feature... I think it is SAPI5 itself that do not have it...

Probably, if the machine being acessed is using the new version of remote access by the first time, the user still not pressed the button named Connect and do not alert anymore...

Hi all, My essentials addons are Add-on Updater, OBJPad (specially in some apps of Windows 10 and the scan mode), NVDA Remote, Sound Manager, Windows 10 App Essentials and an addon developed in the Spanish Community, WhatsApp Desktop (I help with the translation of this addon to English). Regards.

Hi,
In addition to those mentioned above, I would add the clock addon to my list.. Making the computer speak time automatically to you in a certain interval (30 min in my case) helps keeping you on time.
sincerely,

vocalizer nvda addon from Tiflotecnia: is it still updated and is it worth purchasing for multi lingual user?
amir din
Hi, I found the vocalizer for nvda from Tiflotecnia company, from this website https://vocalizer-nvda.com/store
but from this page, seems like no price is mentioned for this product. Also, the copyright written at the bottom of the page is 2013, now its 2021.
So, if I continue buying this thing, will it work with my nvda 2021? Or this is it's old website and this product is migrading to new website and I am missing something here?
I know the code factory version, but unfortunately for that version, it's auto language switching is not good. It doesn’t have the switch language base on the Unicode character feature. Meaning for the auto language to work, the document or webpage must be set up with correct language tag. So if for example in notepad, auto language switching will not happen even if I am reading text in another language.
Plus, the code factory version does not have the compact or low quality voices, I prefer that voices rather than the high quality/premium voices, just like on the phones.
So this vocalizer from Tiflotecnia has that things that I want. So wwanting to know whether it will work or not on latest nvda.
Is the voices updated too?
Thanks

Re: problem in using nvda remote

Hi In addition, please ensure the correct connection settings are in effect. My friend in America often connects as the Controlling computer when he should be the Controlled computer and this has the effect you described. Both computers connect to the remote server but cannot communicate because the settings are incorrect.
Cheers Chris

There are a few things I'd do..
Could you go into NVDA's Tools menu, and under Remote, make sure that 'Mute Remote' is not checked in that submenu? Assuming this is unchecked, could you try NVDA+S on the remote machine to make sure the 'speech mode' is turned on, on 'talk' rather than 'off'? If all this doesn't solve the issue, the only thing I know you can do is, if possible, restart NVDA and the machine remotely and it should come back up again as expected. If you had a connection issue, then it would have meant that the remote server you're using and/or the computer being controlled was off, or NVDA on that machine was off, but this probably isn't the case here.
Hopefully this helps!

To add to Christopher’s great suggestions, make sure the person on the other end hasn’t turned down their computer volume, thinking it won’t impact speech on your end. Speaking from experience here! 😊

Re: NVDA launches itself after UAC is dismissed, even if it wasn't running before that
Hello, Actually, I forgot to mention that I tried that. and it did not help. And besides that, that option in "Ease of access center" is connected to the "Start NVDA after I sign in" one in NVDA itself. So if you disable the former, you disable the latter as well and I don't want to do that.______ На 29.9.2021 г. в 22:58, Petr Řehák
