I’ve not been able to connect all day myself. I’m thinking that the NVDA remote proxy server is down. I know I can set up my own remote server, but I’m not sure how to do that. Any help would be appreciated, as I need the remote facility to look after my internet radio station.

Well I use this plugin. Really Simple SSL You don't need to direct anything its going to do it for you. Your previder does need an updated cert and you have to be able to manually or automatically be able to keep that updated but as far as I understand it you just plug and play. I have certainly had no issues with that plugin.

No, so far, the page with more add-ons, oficial or not, is www.nvda.es.

Yep, I just talked to the person, we’ll find a way to make the page more accessible next time. I’m sure there is a way. This is where my knowledge ends, but he is willing to work with us which is good. He will make sure we can read the routing before the event.

Good morning,
As I mentioned above, the NVDA menus are not reading when I use the NVDA+N command. I tried exiting and restarting nVDA, but they still don’t read. My computer has been in sleep mode for a few days, and I have been switching back and forth between NVDA and JAWS. Maybe that has something to do with it? I’m running Windows 10 on an Asus laptop, nothing fancy. Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks,

Ibrahim Abedrabbo
Yes, NVDA supports several Arabic speech engines including acapella and vocalizer. However those speech engines are not free.

What the user wants is that NVDA announces automatically the phonetic alphabet.
He must use this add-on: Author: David CM https://www.dropbox.com/s/3q51767illr4gia/EnhancedPhoneticReading_0.5a2_Gen.nvda-addon?dl=1

Hi, should everyone do this? I just checked my cmd properties and the legacy mode was unchecked... Next, press your applications key and go to Open File Location. Next, press Alt Enter on the Command Prompt to bring up its properties. Shift tab to the tabs, and go right to Options. Now tab to Legacy Console, and if it is unchecked, check it. Hit apply then OK, and you should be golden."

Re: NVDA and the Windows Task Scheduler
Gene
I’ll make one more comment here.
Just from the tiny experimentation I did today, it appears to me that local
is just for show or display. It appears to me that everything must be done
in the library.
I haven’t looked, but I suspect you can see everything in the library that
you see in local.

Scheduler Thanks. Apparently it's not even an NVDA issue. Rather, it's whether the task is in the Local or Library area of Task Scheduler that determines whether the tabs you mention even appear. Also, when I create a task, it always goes into the Library area, never the Local area, so I am working with someone who already has a task in Local that he wants to get rid of. Since this has wound up to not be an NVDA question or problem, I'll move it elsewhere.
