What doesn’t work?  The close button closes the add-on.  The options button does what I described.  As you will see, in a following message, I downloaded and tested the compatible version and it works just as the older one does.

Someone contacted me privately this afternoon about Edge (SmartScreen, really) blocking the download.  Just changing to Chrome allowed the download.

The standard advice to "try another browser" should always be the first thing to try on a blocked download provided it's not your own antivirus/security suite is not the one blocking it.  SmartScreen is separate from Windows Defender or third party antivirus/security.

Sometimes you have to try tow other browsers.  But if at least two Chromium-based browsers and Firefox won't download something, it probably shouldn't be downloaded.

To the best of my knowledge that option needs to be unchecked for Math
Player and MathType to work properly. Please try disabling it, and

I’m guessing but I suspect it is the same thing as another e-mail program might refer to as flagged.

Hi. Thanks for trying. Yes, I have just tried, but no luck. note that NVDA doesn't recognize math content, it just says "graphic, mathtype 6 equasion". It may be helpful to know that nvda reads math in a browser if I publish as math page from math type itself. I doesn't read it in word though. if I stand on any such graphic and press alt + \ it converts it to text but it doesn't read as expected. lots of extra brackets.

Have you tried Access8 Math? I forget if that works with Word or not, that might just need Math Player and Math Type too.

Hi, I've noticed this happening on the groups.io site when I'm replying to a message. I thought this happened in other places too but cannot remember exactly where else this happened for sure. I shut down my pc every night and restarting NVDA with add-on gives me same behavior.

I just got the latest NVDA add-on.  It works like the previous one.  If you already have selected an item in a the list you are on when you open the add-on, then if you tab to and press the options button, you are in a list you can arrow up and down.  I haven't looked at the list in a lot of detail but one thing you can use it for is to determine what headers are displayed.  You will hear that header fields are checked or unchecked as you move in the list.  Change the state of an item using the space bar.  I've used this list so seldom that I think that is all you do.  As far as I can see, changes take immediate effect and there is no OK button.  You can close it with escape and I think if you tab it will close.

What is the status of Math player support nowadays? I can't get it to work. I have word 365, I installed math type, and math player. whenever I incounter some math NVDA says "graphic, math type 6 equasion". I made sure "use UI automation to access word" is checked in NVDA's advanced settings. Any idea please?

I am also having this problem. I remember discussion on this topic a few weeks ago, but didn't pay attention as I wasn't affected using my new laptop, but my Lenovo that is about 6 years old encountered this error message when checking for NVDA app updates. How do I rectify this issue? Thank You Kindly.
